" At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide. "

- Abraham Lincoln

(ROUEN, FRANCE: 6:30 AM)

From dusk to dawn, the young pink Kree spent several hours hunting down the patrolling alien humanoids and their reptilian allies and replacing his bullets into his rifle and pistol. Physically, he looked haggard and sleepless, but he was determined to end the enemies' lives. At the top of the building, he aimed at the male blue Kree sergeant, talking with his troops, prepared to strike his head, and pulled the trigger down when the bullet had fallen and blown the Kree into his bloodshed. His fellow kind and the lizards turned their attention to the unconscious official and aimed their weapons at the building.

Amnon noticed them, pulled out a grenade, and instantly threw at them, sending the troopers exploding into ashes. He stood up from his position and headed into the metal staircase at the left side of the building. Descending from the stairs, he instantly walked away on the street and brought his rifle and belongings. Just then, he noticed some trucks of the MTF and the Rebel Forces stationed in Rouen, patrolling throughout the evening to morning. The troopers had left their vehicles as Commando Buck Henderson led them. Joining them, Allen Stroud and his girlfriend Karena also arrived. They all pointed their weapons on him. "

" Montmartre?! What the hell are you doing?! " an angry gruff voice called the pink Kree out. " You're not supposed to do a solo mission! You're not even assigned to this! Put your hands in the air! "

Amnon remained emotionless and ignored Buck's orders, sternly glaring at them. He continued walking past the crowd in front of him. The ARC and RR troops were surprised to see him in action. Allen and Karena exchanged glances and wondered what had gotten into their friend.

Amnon walked away and sternly spoke, " It's none of your business. Leave me alone. "

" Sir, permission to fire Montmartre, " the female ARC trooper turned to Buck.

" No, wait! " Karena raised her voice. " Monsieur Montmartre is our friend! Let us talk to him and bring his senses back! We are from the Rebel Forces! Please don't kill him, he's our ally! "

" I don't even think he's in the right mind to have a small talk, " Buck sternly answered the Frenchwoman. " We have the right to...."

"...Take him down?! Really? " Allen sarcastically continued the thought and grinned. " I got word from the Old Lady and her fiancé that you guys almost slaughtered him in Paris several months ago. Did you even feel guilty for spilling the blood of the Kree Eternal and Captain Marvel's son? Don't tell me you're gonna do that again?! "

Buck heard the former mercenary's words, recalled that violent encounter, and bowed his head. The rest of the MTF Troopers and the Rebel Forces had waited for his response. Amnon looked behind and rolled his eyes with extreme disdain, thinking they were wasting his time for this confrontation.

" Commando Henderson, shall we? " a red-headed Swiss Rebel Forces member asked.

" No, we'll have these two negotiate with Montmartre, " Buck replied and turned to Allen and Karena with concern. " Do what you must before he loses himself, copy? "

Allen and Karena nodded and rushed towards the pink Kree. Amnon frowned and became uninterested to rejoin with his two friends. Buck and the others patiently waited and watched the couple conversing with him.
