(Unedited bc Editor-san is out sick)

"Tanjiro, how are you feeling?" She sat down on the bed next to him, it was three months later and his left hand still couldn't feel from the elbow and lower. Looking around at the room, things could've been much more different. Genya was still with them and relaxing on a bed separately from Tanjiro, Zenitsu, of Inosuke but he was still smiling at the cherry blossoms falling through the window. He smiled as she entered the infirmary and held her hand. "Good, what else can I feel? We're finally free and I'm with you. We may have lost a lot but it's better than it was before."

She had lost the mindset where if she was a medic she had to save everyone. Himo was no longer a medic anyway, the age of demons was over and a time where slayers could finally relax began. While she still missed her old friends like Tokito and Shinobu and even wished that she could still talk with Rengoku more, she couldn't have asked for a better outcome with the cards she was dealt.

Nezuko gave her a hug and began messing with her hair, which had grown back to being waist length now that they no longer had risks of being a danger whenever they fought so Nezuko could style it whenever. They sat together in the warm sun with the others paying no mind towards them by sleeping or Genya reading a book laying down on a bed nearby, now that they'd all grown to be friends, he'd mellowed out. Same with Sanemi who was grateful to still have his brother and regain the two fingers he'd lost against Kokushibou. "We have lost a lot and maybe we would've lost more, but for now it's the best we've got. Tokito-san is happy to be back with his brother and Shinobu got her sister back, Rengoku reunited with his mother and Tamayo sees her family again and achieved in aiding us against Muzan's death. Death may be scary but it's wonderful for those who lose a lot."

"You're right...Aren't you a hashira now? I thought you managed to finish training before us and you got the rank. There's a meeting going on that requires all hashira, isn't there?" He smiled at her sudden rebellion compared to her usual punctual behaviour in the past. Himo shrugged with a hint of a grin before sliding off the bed to retrieve the swords leaning on the wall and returning to lay them on her lap, they still shone in the warm sunlight but they no longer needed to be used against demons. Now they could perhaps hang on the wall like her father had done with his sword. "What does it matter, we're finally free. I don't care what rank I ended as, I care that as long as we're all alive together, any rank in the system is fine with me. They won't mind me missing a meeting since I already know what happens."

"Why isn't Himo-San here?" Mitsuri asked as she looked around curiously, Oyataka smiled at the question knowing she was likely spending time with Tanjiro and her friends still recovering. He couldn't be mad at her, especially not after what she'd done for them to achieve their victory, he had Sho, her crow inform her ahead of time with a brief overview of what he'd speak about in the meeting and excused her if she wanted to check in on everyone else instead. "Ah...Her, I believe she is visiting her friends rather than coming to the meeting, I excused her from this meeting. After all, I believe in light of our recent victory that a break is well earned..."

"Now I have something to say, after all we have done, everything us sons, daughters, and children have done was to kill demons and Muzan. Today is the day we disband the Demon Slayers, we have achieved our goal after many years and many lives, the Ubuyashiki family thanks those who have sacrificed, those who have passed, and you. You had risked your lives for so long and did so much despite the fact you woke up every day to face what could've been your deaths and now it may be time to change that for the better." His head touched the wood floors as he bowed to them, the family owed them for training and fighting with the risk of their lives being lost for so long. "Uwahhh!! There's no need to bow your head to us!" A few fretted while others simply hugged each other in relief.

"It's just disbanding the Demon Slayers, can't believe we'll just be people with swords now. It's going to be weird waking up and having no missions ahead of you. And it made good money, we won't have to work for the next few lifetimes ahead of us." She laughed, Zenitsu was showing Nezuko one of the cherry blossoms that had fallen right into his palm. Tanjiro nodded and tried to envision the future where they would wake up and not be running towards a demon that could have the power and chance kill them too, it sounded wonderful. "Hey Genya, are you and Sanemi on better terms now?" He asked.

"Huh?– Oh, yeah! He's better now, how are you two now that you've both become demons at some point? What was that like? And Himo, I did what you asked and I shot Muzan with demon DNA." Genya said with a smile that was for once rather happy, he had gotten his brother back and his life was better because of it. Now he wouldn't have to risk his life anymore, everything felt like it wasn't real, but it was. "Felt weird to have so much power and I had like really weirdly good hearing? It of course didn't hold a candle to Zenitsu's abilities but it was weird to say the least. It was nice I guess but I wouldn't trade being a demon for spending my life with you guys."

Her eye was still blind and the scar hadn't been taken away with her last moment of demon healing, her eye's pupils and teeth were still sharp and Yushiro suspected she might still be immortal if untouched or natural longevity but what did she care at this point, all the more time to experience with those she loved.

"Aw, that's cute. So...the Demon Slayer Corps is officially disbanding now that there's no need for us, demons naturally burn away without Muzan's blood in them." Nezuko said and she sighed. She would miss those kids of Kagaya's, with the time she spent with his family behind closed doors when Ubuyashiki had been planning out their suicide mission to kill Muzan, they were just as happy that she survived than anyone else. She'd may not have attended the meeting where they officially announced the disbanding but instead made better friends with the hashira remaining like Sanemi, Giyuu, Himijime, Mitsuri and Obanai. In fact–

"I actually...I offered to take care of the kids for a while, I know they have Tengen and stuff to take care of them but I just wanted to because...they're kinda adorable kids." She said sheepishly, Tanjiro laughed, she didn't like certain kids but when it came to this particular family, she loved them all. "What do you think life is gonna be like from now on? Wanna go back home? We could rebuild the place."

"Yeah! I wanna go back home!" Nezuko said excitedly and looked at the two, waiting for their answers.
