"It's ruined, most of it's illegible. Was it always like this?" Tanjiro asked while flipping through the pages looking for any part that might've been spared from the cruel information slaughter, "No, the annals of the successive generations are stored carefully, I think my father may have torn it up himself...I'm so sorry." Senjuro apologized as he looked through the ripped up book with them.
"It's fine, right?" Himo looked to her friend for confirmation, she didn't want to be the one leading this train because she hadn't even meant to come here. It wouldn't be her place to start answering for people.
"Yeah! It's alright.""You came all the way here and didn't learn anything about the Hinokami Kagura or the Sun Breathing my father mentioned..." Senjuro stressed despite knowing they truly didn't hold anything against him, "That's alright, because I know what to do. I'll train more, I haven't even mastered all the Hinokami Kagura for which I do know all the dance movements." Tanjiro stated as Himo walked over to the area that opened up into the outside. The sky was as blue as the ocean with clouds clumped together like rice.
"You do?" Senjuro asked curiously, he wanted to know how this person could already know so much about something he didn't provide. As Tanjiro finished explaining, Himo came back and sat down, rubbing her eyes since her eyes were sensitive to light.
"My brother didn't have a Tsuguko, a successor, I was supposed to be his Tsuguko. As his backup, I had to build experience...but my Nichiren sword never changed color..." Senjuro said, she could hear the slight note of guilt in his voice as he spoke about it. "If you don't reach a certain level of swordsmanship, the color doesn't change, no matter how hard I trained...I was no good..."
Tears ran down his face dripped down onto his hand, even then he continued telling his story. "So....I've given up being a swordsman...I'll be useful in some other way, this severs the succession of Flame Hashira. A blotch on their long history...But I'm sure my brother would definitely forgive me..."
"Please, walk any path you feel is right, if anyone speaks badly about you, I'll headbutt them." Tanjiro said firmly, Himo lightly swatted him on the shoulder for the last part, it was sweet of him to say, but still, it would probably kill the people he headbutted.

Himo left before Tanjiro because she didn't want to interrupt them any longer, she'd heard enough by now and was ready to leave. Besides, she had a backlog of missions to do. When she arrived back, she had to process everything...what just happened...so. Shinjuro probably gave Rengoku daddy issues like the rest of them, what else was new, there was a family that was completely comprised of Flame Hashira, Sun Breathing is the oldest breath, and there's a record of some kind.
Before everything fully sunk in, she heard yelling outside, "Hm? Wonder what that could be..." Hand on her sword hilt and on guard, Himo went to find out what it was. Tanjiro was being chased around by Haganezuka for losing his sword who was wielding knives, she grinned and watched, of course she would make sure he didn't get hurt, but it was funny to watch the two fool around, "Y'know what...maybe things'll be alright."

Four months passed since Rengoku's death, the crows constantly gave them instructions on how to train, and when it wasn't instructions for training, missions. She sped through training by taking two classes during one day then going to do a mission. Zenitsu, Tanjiro, and even though he didn't want to admit it, Inosuke, were worried because usually she came back extremely tired and just collapsed in bed on the spot, or sometimes disappeared for three days at a time.
