Zenitsu was holding onto Shoichi who clearly didn't want to come with him or any of them for that matter since he probably had to get home to their parents, he looked scared and definitely wouldn't want to go with them with the chance of certain death, "Zenitsu stop! He doesn't want to come with us, he'd die anyway!" Himo yelled and chopped him in the neck, her crow flew down and set a small purple bag tied up an embroidered with a wisteria crest in his hand containing the flower.
Kiyoshi was to hold onto that small purple wisteria package because he was the one demons would most likely come after for his rarer blood and when they left, there wouldn't be anyone to protect them. Luckily the wisteria would keep the demons at bay unless they wanted an absolute death wish as the sun set. The kids left down the mountain after saying goodbye and waving while the other four went the other way down the mountain. She prayed they'd be okay and recommended they plant lots of wisteria around their home, she even handed them a packet of seeds.
"It's getting dark." Himo said as they ran together, shooting worried glances at Tanjiro and Zenitsu. The former had broken ribs that had still hurt him, the latter must've taken a beating and it wasn't exactly healthy to run around after experiencing that only a few hours ago, Inosuke proceeded to carry on with mispronouncing their names to an unruly extent like Home Soot (Might as well be named Ashes then.) and Gonpachiro Kamaboko, it was weird to say the least with this combination do four people.
They arrived at a wooden gate with the wisteria family crest branded onto it. She could see the top of what looked like maybe a temple peeking over the gates, it looked well crafted, and she could appreciate some good architecture just like she could appreciate some good Blood Demon Art, a few minutes after they'd arrived in the front of the gates, an elderly lady opened the gate. "She seems so weak..." Insouke poked her head but the old lady didn't seem to mind at all.
Himo pulled him away and he found out she was much stronger than she appeared to look, her frame absolutely didn't mean how strong she wasn't and though his build should've said she couldn't overpower him, she managed to twist his hands behind his back in such a way it hurt to even move them and gave him a very very totally subtle smiling glare. "Apologies for disturbing you so late at night, and so rudely...our crows said you take in slayers?" Himo asked formally, the old woman nodded silently and she led them through a garden full of trimmed and neat bushes and rock pathways to a house and opened it.
She even asked a doctor to come over, and all three of them had broken ribs, Himo had managed to not injure herself further, only needing minimal treatment for her broken nose which was courtesy of Inosuke, though to be fair she did cause a pretty bad bruise to the (his) left side of his face, the woman also offered food to them, which was amazing, especially after they'd been going from mission to mission without much of a proper life.
Himo ate regularly, as in with the chopsticks provided to them, but Inosuke on the other hand ate like a peasant who hadn't eaten in three weeks, continuously trying to taunt both Himo and Tanjiro into picking fights him, he knew she was easy to make angry with just the right words, so it came down to her needing Tanjiro to calm her down while she glared daggers at Inosuke and responding with creative comebacks but there were a few times she wanted to leap the table and snap his neck.
"Tanjiro...Himo, I wanted to ask you two something, even though nobody asked you yet. What are you lugging around demons with you for?" Zenitsu asked curiously as they set up the futons for the night in their newly washed night clothes, "Oh. You knew about the box issue all this time, tell him." She told Tanjiro and nestled herself in her futon to begin reading, it was the same book she'd been reading over and over but for some reason Tanjiro couldn't understand why it was so good she was reading it for what felt like the fourth time.
"So you knew all along, were you protecting us because you knew...Zenitsu, you really are a good person. Thank you." Tanjiro said graciously with a bright smile. "Yeah, me and Tan' owe you one for that...so, thanks Zen'." It seemed Himo had already begun shortening people's names for herself to call them. "You! You've already praised me like that, I can't do anything!" He fell to the floor.
"My nose is very sharp, I knew this from the beginning, Zenitsu is gentle, and also very strong." Tanjiro continued, gesturing to his nose, Himo slammed her book down and briefly scaring the both of them "Yeah! You can fucking smell literally everything! As in this dude can smell you from twenty miles away." She said to Zenitsu, "No. I'm not that strong, please don't make jokes like that. You stopped me from taking Shoichi-kun with me, and I will never forgive you for that." He suddenly sounded serious.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that while you can kill stuff and hear real well."
"Himo...you do-" Tanjiro began to object but suddenly the box rattled, she looked over at it in the corner, Zenitsu yelped and ran to the closet to hide, Himo stood up and opened the latch to the door, out climbed Nezuko who grew to full height. Damn she was jealous, being able to be taller than 160cm at will? Perfect ability for her.
"Hey Nezuko, why'd you come out? Is it cause you sensed it was nighttime?" She asked with a laugh while patting her head, she made a muffled sound that was maybe agreement, so Himo took it as an answer. The both of them got along well, and Tanjiro really had to admit it was adorable to see them both getting along so well, and after two years of Nezuko not seeing Himo as well it was nice to know they still remembered each other well enough to be friends.
"Tanjiro...you're so lucky..." Zenitsu seethed, emanating a rather dangerous aura. "Eh?" He responded, he began yelling about how he was bringing around two cute girls when Himo yelled angrily, "Shut the fuck up or I'm going to dropkick you out the windows!" She quite literally meant it, to get her sleep, she introduced her elbow into his stomach and that kept him quite quiet for the rest of the night, fearing that she'd get up and do worse.
