Thunderbirds fans may or may not already be familiar with Thunderbirds 2086, a Thunderbirds influenced anime series made as an entirely separate show from that of its original source material, Science Rescue Team Technovoyager. Rebranded under the Thunderbirds title by the show's then owners ITC, the series was sold internationally in the western market as Thunderbirds 2086. Century 22 followers will also be familiar with the show. An episode style story was published by Century 22 in August 2021, in common with many other Gerry Anderson and non-Gerry Anderson shows. A large fact file of the series was released in April 2022, 40 years after the first episode aired in Japan as the original Technovoyager series. Now, Century 22 has completed another episode dedicated to the series, only this time they will not be the only stars of the story...
I was asked by fellow follower and Thunderbirds fan @kieron0103 to pen a Thunderbirds 2086 story, at a time when I was writing The Complete Book Of Thunderbirds 2086, to write a crossover with his OCs. I was delighted with the offer and had already enjoyed his works very much. I fully recommend them! He has done various Gerry Anderson works, including Thunderbirds 2086 as well as the classic Thunderbirds. In some of his Thunderbirds works, he has turned some classic episodes into versions where it is he and his OCs who are members of International Rescue. Kieron has adapted stories such as Trapped In The Sky, Desperate Intruder, and End Of The Road into his own interpretation for his characters to be the rescuers of the day.
In that case, an loosely based adaptation of Thunderbirds fan favourite (including mine!) Terror In New York City will be the main plotline of the story; a city in peril from towers crumbling onto the ground, and trapped men underneath Argus city. Originally planned to be New York City as per the original episode, it did not suit Kieron's universe so therefore was changed. It will be not only a job for the Thunderbirds of Remnant, but also for the Thunderbirds of 2086. Together, they will combine their forces together in saving Argus city from a doomed existence...
