"Perfect," I thought as I finally got my short, dark hair to lay how I wanted. I had spent the last 20 minutes fixing my bangs, and I was worried that I'd be late to my first class if I took any longer. An 8am class was a mistake, but it was the only time I could take Biology. My high waisted denim shorts paired with a black turtle neck with mesh sleeves and my black docs gave just the right amount of classy edginess that I wanted for my first day.

On my way out of my apartment, I grabbed my backpack and quickly jotted down a note for my roommate that I hadn't actually met, yet. I was really hoping I'd get to meet her this afternoon on my break between classes.

After catching the bus to get across campus to the science building, I hurried inside and took my seat at the end of the row near the front before the lecture began.  As the final minutes passed before class started, I breathed a sigh of relief that the one seat next to me was still empty.

Once the professor began to introduce himself, I flipped up the desk part of my chair and dug through my bag to pull out my lap top to take notes. The door at the back of the auditorium style room opened and closed quietly. I kept my eyes forward trying to focus on the professor.

"Is this seat taken?" A low gravely voice whispered. I looked up to see his dark brown eyes staring back at me. His golden brown hair fell in waves to his shoulders. I blushed and tucked my hair behind my ear. He smirked at me and said, "...can I sit here?" I nodded enthusiastically and kicked myself internally for appearing so eager, but he was so cute with his warm, inviting eyes, dark brows, long eyelashes, and impossibly soft looking lips. He smiled and nodded as he sat down beside me quickly pulling out his computer to catch up.

As the professor droned on, and I found myself glancing over at the handsome boy beside me. He was wearing a pair of dark wash jeans and a short sleeve white button up shirt with thin gray vertical stripes. His fingers moved swiftly and easily across the keys, and he fidgeted with the white braided bracelet on his wrist between notes.

"So we'll have lectures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, then you'll do your labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any questions?" The professor asked at the end of class. No one responded. "Alright...you're dismissed then. I'll see you all on Wednesday!"

The boy beside me had already packed his laptop into his bag and was on his way out without a word. I silently promised myself that I'd actually speak to him on Wednesday. For now, I just gathered my things and went to my art class.

There were blocks of clay laid on each table along with any tool you could need to sculpt. The professor passed out aprons as we took our seats. She walked us through general steps and processes before turning us loose to create whatever we want.

I worked the clay for a few moments as I thought about what I wanted to make. I rolled out a thin rectangle once I decided to go with an incense holder. After rounding the corners, I made sure there was a lip to hold the ash in, then made the hole to hold the stick. I threw on a few decorations like a starfish, crab, seashells, a beach towel, etc, before setting it aside to dry.

After class was over, I washed my hands and hung up my apron on my way out the door. The walk back to my apartment was relatively quick, but it was probably because I couldn't wait to get home and make some lunch. Maybe even meet my roommate?

When I walked in, I nearly shit my pants when I saw a tall thin boy with shaggy brown hair sitting on the couch in my living room wearing nothing but blue boxers with little brown Sasquatch cartoons on them. I screamed and started to back out of the door.

"Shit, sorry!" He grumbled as he covered himself and frowned, walking towards the other bedroom. This confused me, but the fact that he was walking away from me made me feel a little more at ease.
