I lazily crawled out of bed as Sam groaned and covered his face with a pillow. "I'm skipping my 8 am lecture again...want some breakfast?" I asked sleepily. He didn't answer as I stretched, and I couldn't help but laugh when I caught him staring at me and smiling. "Quit staring at me like that!" I teased as I yanked the pillow off of his chest and hit him playfully with it. His strong arms wrapped around my waist as he laughed and pulled me back into bed with him.
"Why? I wanted breakfast in bed," he said in his low, raspy, morning voice as his fingers tickled my sides causing me to bubble with more giggles.
"You're such a shameless flirt, Sammy!" I squealed with laughter as I tried to fight my way free from his grasp.
"You're crazy if you think I'm ever letting you go, Quinnie," he said softly as he kissed a line from my collarbone up to my jaw, sending shivers through my body. I leaned in and caught his lips with mine, holding his face in my hands as I admired how cute he looked at this moment. A wave of guilt washed over me when I remembered that despite how happy I had been the past few weeks, I still hadn't actually broken up with Jake or told either of them. I quickly stood up and walked towards the kitchen, pausing in the doorway and looking back at him.
"Pancakes or waffles?" I asked with a smirk. Naked breakfast had become somewhat of a tradition between the two of us, and I knew how much he loved it. Most of the time it ended with kitchen sex, which had also become a tradition for us, but sometimes it ended with us just laughing and hanging out.
"Pancakes, pleeease!" he called after me as I walked out of the room. I shook my head and smiled as I made my way into the kitchen. I grabbed the box of pancake mix out of the pantry, and read over the instructions as I grabbed the mixing bowl from the drying rack by the sink. I measured out the mix and water before pouring it in to the bowl and mixing it with a whisk. I glanced up to see Sam smiling at me as he watched me stir. I knew he was just looking at my boobs jiggle as I mixed, but I couldn't help but laugh, turning away to cover my blushing cheeks. I poured 4 dollops of batter onto the flat top griddle and waited for the bubbles to come through before I could flip them. As I was letting the other side cook, I turned to see Sam cutting some fresh fruit.
I walked over behind him and wrapped my arms around his middle. "You're so sweet, Sammy," I whispered before kissing his shoulder and pulling him tighter to my chest as I rested my cheek against his back. He spun in my arms and tilted my chin up to kiss me sweetly before leading me to the table where he pulled out my chair.
After we ate, I realized I didn't have much time before my art class, so I stood up, kissed his cheek, and hurried to my room to get dressed. I didn't bother to close the door, and honestly I rarely did that now anyway. For late November, it was still relatively warm, so I opted for a pair of mom jeans and a cropped gray beatles t-shirt with my black converses. I tied a red flannel around my waist just in case I got cold in class, then started out the door. On my way out, my eyes landed on the small clay incense holder I had made at the beginning of the year that was nestled away in the top shelf of my closet. I turned to grab it, quickly shoving it into a black gift bag that I had leftover from somewhere. It still had leftover gold tissue paper in it, which worked perfectly to conceal the gift. I scrawled a signature across a small piece of paper from my desk and tucked it underneath the clay piece in the bag. I'm not sure why, but I felt like Sam needed to have this...
I snuck across the hall into his room, and placed the bag on his bed before sneaking back out. I was definitely in a hurry, but he looked so cute standing at the sink, still naked as he washed dishes. I paused in the doorway with a goofy smile on my face as he caught me watching. "I'll see you later, Sammy," I promised, my smile widened even more when I saw his face light up with my words.
