I woke up to Sam's alarm blaring. I giggled as he groaned and grabbed his phone off the nightstand, silencing it in one swift motion. He snuggled closer to me and smiled. "I'm glad you're still here," he whispered softly as he nuzzled into the crook of my neck.
"Well my bed was taken," I teased as I ran my fingers along his back and ribs, tickling him gently. He giggled and arched his back trying to gain some distance before getting frustrated and rolling on top of me. He grabbed my hands and pinned them to the bed above my head. I licked my lips as I watched him gaze down at me hungrily. The way his eyes darkened when he looked at me made me shiver.
"Ready for round two, Quinnie?" He purred into my ear before kissing a line down to my collar bone.
"I should probably go check on Emma.." I added in a tired tone. I could hear her rummaging around in the kitchen. He grinned and leaned in to kiss me deeply.
"Are you sure?" He teased as he ran his fingers down the length of my body.
"No, but she'll be mad if I don't," I replied with a laugh. He groaned as I wiggled out from underneath him, standing up and putting on one of Sam's shirts.
"Fine..I have plans today, too," he said in a cocky tone. "My shirt looks cute on you, though.." he smirked as his eyes raked over me. I shook my head as I gathered my bodysuit and heels before sneaking back to my room. I tried to smooth my hair before grabbing a pair of cotton shorts and slipping them on.
When I made my way into the kitchen, Emma was making pancakes. She beamed when she saw me. "How was your night?" She asked knowingly as she smirked. I blushed and walked over to help her.
"It was fun, are you feeling better this morning?" I replied in jest trying to divert the conversation. She nodded and began to reply, but I got distracted by Sam walking out of his bedroom pulling his shirt over his head. Emma cleared her throat, yanking me out of my trance.
"Sorry," I muttered as I went back to flipping pancakes. I blushed again when Sam came up behind me, placing his hands on my hips as he kissed the back of my neck. I bit my lip as my mind wandered to all the places I wanted his lips to kiss. "Sam, this is my best friend, Emma...Emma, this is my Sammy—I mean my roommate, Sam," I managed as I attempted to introduce them. They both laughed and nodded in acknowledgment of each other.
"I'll see you later, Quinnie," he whispered before kissing my jaw and grabbing a pancake off the stack, eating it and picking up his guitar case on his way out the door.
"Are you two dating?" She asked after we finished making breakfast. We each took a seat at the table and she smiled as she waited on me to answer.
"No, we're not, Sam is just...we're just having fun," I explained poorly. Emma laughed in disbelief, nearly choking on the bite she had just taken. "We agreed that dating was a bad idea since we live together," I added confidently.
"So you thought it was a good idea to just fuck each other shamelessly whenever you wanted?" She asked incredulously as she laughed. I rolled my eyes and laughed with her.
"Well, when you say it like that.." I replied as I stood up to wash my plate and clean up from breakfast.
My phone buzzed on the table, and Emma quickly grabbed it despite me racing back to get it before she could. "Jeez woman! How many boyfriends do you have?? Who is 'shy Jake'? He's really cute.." She teased. I yanked my phone from her, realizing that my iPhone had shown the profile picture he had set up in his own iPhone. He did look really cute in it as he pursed his lips and held his hand out towards the camera.
"My lab partner," I said matter-of-factly with a proud smirk on my face. She didn't need to know how hard I was crushing on him.
"Oh yeah? Why is he sending you his location?" She shot back with a shit eating grin. I quickly glanced down at the message and smiled.
