The next few weeks were fairly uneventful. Classes were normal, midterms were easy enough with Jake as my study partner..even if he insisted that we take lots of breaks. I stayed at Jake's most nights, but on the nights that I was home, Sam and I usually picked a trashy movie and hung out baking brownies or cookies while we did face or hair masks.

I looked over my outfit in the mirror, smiling as I realized how well it came together. A blonde wig with side swept curls, an off the shoulder black crop top, and a pair of high waisted skinny black leather pants compromised my current outfit. I had a few options for shoes, but none of them really fit the vibe. Jake and I had discussed and planned for weeks what we wanted to be, and I was excited to see him all dressed up.

I walked into the kitchen to grab a glass of water, and saw Sam sitting on the couch wearing a long dark wig with half of the hair pulled back into a ponytail, a pair of black skinny jeans with holes in the knees, a white Church Of Rock and Roll t-shirt, a black wristband on each wrist, dangly clip on earrings, and a pair of drumsticks in his hand. Immediately I recognized that he was dressed up as Danny, and I couldn't contain my laughter. "Oh hey, Danny! I didn't know you were here! Have you seen Sammy?" I teased. Sam's eyes lit up when he laughed along with me.

"That's Demolition Dan to you, Quinnie," he replied with one raised eyebrow. I burst with laughter, spitting my water across the room. "When is Jake getting here?" He asked as he watched me clean up my mess.

"He's apparently running behind at the studio, so he's just going to meet me there.." I said softly. I was expecting him hours ago, but he kept pushing the time back until he finally said he'd just meet me at Danny's.

"Ahhh...I'm sorry, Quinnie. Wanna just ride together?" Sammy smiled as he stood up and grabbed his keys before walking over and grabbing a bottle of tequila from the freezer.

"Sure, that actually sounds convenient! I can just ride home with Jake after..." I trailed off when I noticed Sam's face drop slightly. I reached out and touched his shoulder, "I love your costume, by the way. Has Danny seen it?"

"No," he giggled. "He's supposed to be dressing as me, though, which should be pretty funny!" he replied as he ran his fingers through the hair of his wig and laughed again when he realized why it felt weird. "You make a really hot Sandy, by the way," he said in a low tone as he looked me up and down. I blushed hard and turned away hoping he hadn't noticed. "You forgot your shoes, though," he teased causing me to laugh, too.

"I didn't have any that fit the vibe the way I wanted.." I replied trying to sound indifferent. He held up one finger before turning and heading to his room, returning with my red pointed heels dangling from his fingers as he smiled at me. "I thought I threw those away.." I was amazed and caught off guard, but felt so giddy.

"I knew how much you loved these shoes, Quinnie...I couldn't let you throw them away because of me," he said softly as he sat the shoes down by my feet and held out his hand to help me step into them. "Plus you know how much I like them on you," he winked as he finished speaking, and I felt myself blush again. I held his hand longer than I should have, but I couldn't bring myself to let go right away. I wanted to cry over how sweet and thoughtful he was, and wanted nothing more than to just kiss his soft lips...

"We should probably get going," I said quietly as I finally let go of his hand and looked away from his beautiful chestnut eyes. He smiled and walked over to open the front door. We listened to music on the drive to the party, and I loved watching him wiggle and dance along to the music. His Bob Dylan impression will always make me laugh.

When we pulled in to the parking lot, it was packed. "I didn't know you guys knew this many people.." I said softly as we walked towards Danny's house. Sam laughed, but he didn't say anything as we walked side by side. The backs of our hands lightly grazed each other, which sent goosebumps up my arm. Sam opened the front door and held it open for me, placing his large hand on my lower back as we walked inside.
