Lockdown day 5 -pt 1

(This kinda takes a dark turn so be prepared to be sad in the next few chpts because its a lil deathy and idk if that a trigger for some people so this is here)

It was finally the weekend! I woke up early at around 8:00am, for some reason. I went outside my room to get breakfast, no one was awake yet so the house was quiet, besides the dogs jumping on me like normal. I was happy that everyone was actually sleeping finally, so I went back into my room after getting breakfast and started watching Brooklyn 99.

Around an hour later I heard a knock at the door, it was my dad. "Hey J, mum and I are gonna go run some errands for a bit, we'll be back later. You all can do whatever you like or go anywhere in the other car, I'll leave the keys on the table. Bye, love ya." He told me.

"Ok, love you too, bye." I replied and he closed the door behind him.

I had an idea of what to do today but I wasn't sure if anything would be open or the others would want to do it. It was to go shopping, they hadn't really gotten anything to decorate their rooms and shopping is always fun.

Jazzy and Anthony (Janthony if you will) came in twenty minutes later, just after waking up I thought seeing their tired faces. We talked about random things then after a while Daveed and Emmy (Demmy if you will) came in as well at around 10.

"So what do you guys wanna do today?" Emmy asked the group, sitting next to me on my bed with Daveed.

"How bout shopping?" Jazzy suggested before I could say it.

"That is exactly what I was gonna say! My dad even left the keys on the table for us to go." I exclaimed.

"Sure, Jess where do you think we should go?" Anthony asked excited.

"Well there is a place but it's a long drive and then there is also another place which isn't that far, the farther has a lot more better shops is the only thing but I like the closer one still." I explained, I knew that the closer one was the easiest and it did have good shops still.

"Lets do the closer one, when does it open and who's driving?" Daveed said laughing, I assumed he was still waking up because he was being quieter than usual.

"It usually opens at around 11, but I'll check if it has changed or not." I said, pulling out my phone while the others figured out who drives. "It opens at 11, so we've got half an hour left till then."

"Ok, everyone come back to the study when you're ready," Emmy said as they started leaving the room to go get ready.

After about 40mins we were all ready and getting into the car. Emmy was driving, Daveed was in the passenger seat, Anthony was behind him with Jazzy next to him and I was in the back so it wouldn't be squished in the middle row. The shopping centre was put into google maps and we were on our way.

First song that happened to come on was Dancing in the Moonlight and of course we were all singing it. I kept thinking of Emmy dancing to it with Tom Hopper as I saw her slightly dancing while driving. Nothing is safe by Clipping came on next, I loved that song but didn't know the words that well, Daveed obviously was rapping it the whole time which was amazing to watch.

We got there at around 11:20am, I led everyone inside after we parked. We all had our masks on, and yes mine was the Hamilton mask the boys gave me, so we could all do everything. As soon as we got inside I took them to Kmart, which they were confused about since it was like Australia's target but we still had target there.

We had gotten bits and pieces from most shops we went to and we were now in the food court getting lunch because it was 1pm. There had been a lot of people stopping us for photos and signatures, especially when we went to Zing. The others had gone to find food and I was waiting for mine to come when I got an unknown call, so I answered.

"Hello?" I asked

"Is this Jessica Miller?" The lady on the other side asked me.

"Um yes, what is this about?" I asked back, I wasn't sure what was going on.

"Oh, I'm sorry to tell you this but your parents, they were in an accident. They are in the hospital right now, they had very serious injuries." She told me with sorrow in her voice.

"Um, ok, I'll be right there." I started panicking as soon as I hung up.

I had only just gotten my food and I quickly made my way down to a table and started to cry into my hands. After a few minutes Daveed came to find me because we were going to meet downstairs next to the escalator.

DAVEED'S POV

I went to go find Jess because she should be at the meeting spot already. I saw her sitting at a table, I wasn't sure why until I came closer and saw that she was crying. I ran up to her and knelt in front of her to give her a hug.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" I asked, trying to figure out what was going on.

"My- my- parents." She started but couldn't finish.

"What about your parents?" I asked supportively, but worried.

"They- they- they were in an accident, they- they are in the hospital now." She stuttered.

"Come on, we are going to go see them ok. Let's go get the others." I pulled Jess up and into a side hug and grabbed her food for her.

I knew I had to be there for her, I was not about to leave her side no matter what happens. When we approached Emmy, Jazzy and Ant they all gave a questioning look but I told them we would talk about it in the car. I quickly told Emmy where we need to go and I sat next to Jess the whole car ride while we told the others what happened.

They were understanding luckily, Jess was in between me and Jazzy so she wouldn't be alone at all, I could tell Anthony really wanted to give her a big hug and I felt sorry for him but we needed to get to the hospital quickly.
