Lockdown day 7

Last night I thought I heard Daveed say something just before he left the room, I wasn't sure what it was or if he had even said something but I wasn't going to bring it up in case he didn't say anything. This morning I made sure that I was awake early for the lockdown update even though the person who usually does it is usually half an hour late at least.

I went out to the TV room and got the channel up, I knew that it would be around 10:30 or 11 so the others were hopefully awake already and I wasn't waking them up. Finally the person came on to talk about lockdown, sadly we are having another week because we have a few new cases.

Jazzy and Anthony joined me in the TV room just after he had talked about the extended lockdown, so I had to explain to them what was happening. School was still going to be online but it was getting close to holidays now so I knew that would be annoying with lockdown.

I had decided that I was actually going to do online school today and do as much as I can so I don't have to do much the rest of the week. I went back into my room after talking to Jas and Ant for a bit to check what I needed to do, there wasn't much there which made sense since it was the last week of term.

It didn't take me very long to do everything, so I ended up FaceTiming with Lia and my other friend Charlie. The three of us had been friends since diapers, we knew literally everything about each other which was great. We played a few online games together and mainly talked, I guessed that the others knew I was on a call because none of them had come in to join me which wasn't normal.

It was getting close to 1 so I said bye to Lia and Charlie and went to get some food. We hadn't gone grocery shopping since my parents were in hospital so we didn't have much, Emmy was sitting on the couch by herself since the others had press about blind spotting and ith.

"Hey Emmy, we don't have any food. Can we go grocery shopping?" I asked her, knowing the others wouldn't be done for a while.

"Oh yeah, ok go get ready and we can go soon," She said, getting up to grab her mask and bag from the counter, and I went to get changed and grab my mask and bag.

We left around 10min later, for some reason Emmy was being quieter than usual but I wasn't sure why. We were just going to the IGA that's less than 5mins away so it didn't take that long to get there.

"Emmy, you ok, you're being quieter than usual?" I asked her worried.

"Um yeah I'm ok, just a little tired that's it. Oh I wanna show you something," She pulled her phone out as we were walking back into the car.

It showed a photo of her, Daveed and me all asleep together. I guessed that Jazzy or Anthony took it last night at the hospital. "Omg that photo is so cute! Can you send it to me?" I knew that I would end up putting it as my wallpaper as soon as we got home.

"Sure, Anthony took it on my phone yesterday, it is so cute!" She said, sending the photo to me.

"Thanks!" I said hugging her from the side.

I guessed that she wanted the photo to be a surprise and that's why she wasn't talking that much before because she was fine now luckily. When we got back home and had put everything away I wasn't sure what to do, the others were still on zooms and it had started raining, so there wasn't much for Emmy and I to do without making much noise.

I wanted to just stay home today and do nothing, and I felt like the others had less and less energy each time we went to see my parents. None of them had also experienced Australian drivers when its raining so I didn't want to go driving during that.

Emmy and I ended up just reading or going through our phones while we had to be quiet in my room because it wasn't being used. I had told her already that I didn't want to go out properly in the rain so we didn't have to go to the hospital today and luckily she understood.

At around 2 pm Anthony had finished up with his press so he came to join us, soon after the others came as well so we could be as loud as we wanted. "So what do you guys want to do?" I asked everyone.

"Movie and pizza?" Jazzy suggested, we all agreed on watching Rent: Live, and I loved rent so I was very happy about that.

It was nice spending time with all of them, and we were lip-syncing to the songs and of course we all screamed "I QUIT" during what you own. Anthony and Jazzy did literally say at the end "I KNOW HER, IT'S DAPHNE" when Daphne came on at the end with the rest of the obc.

When we finished it had stopped raining so we took the dogs to the park quickly before it could rain again, we were talking about random things when Anthony decided to ask when my birthday was, then I realised that it was next month so it was soon.

"Um, the first of next month." They all looked at me shocked that I didn't tell them.

"Wait really? That's soon, what are you gonna do for it?" Emmy asked, ready to go into full planing mode.

"I didn't really want to do anything this year actually also we may still be in lockdown so I can't do anything then, but I don't mind its not that big of a deal, I'm just turning 14." I explained trying not to get them to plan anything.

"Sure you don't wanna do anything?" Daveed asked confused.

"Yes I'm sure, there really isn't that much point to do anything," I repeated, knowing it would be hard to have my birthday without my parents.

"Ok then I guess, shall we go back inside?" Jazzy said as we finished another lap of the park and went back home.

It was almost 6 now so I fed the dogs and we all had dinner. I hadn't seen my parents today but I was ok with that, knowing I would see them tomorrow no matter what. When we were done dinner I went back to my room alone and continued watching tua and finally got up to the second season when Daveed came into my room to say goodnight and I realised it was 10 already.

"You had a good day with Emmy and apparently watching Emmy as well?" He asked me laughing as he saw what I was watching.

"Yeah it was nice, so was I the only one who hadn't seen that photo of the three of us because it was so cute and I loved it!" I said jokingly, it was already my phone background.

"Maybe... Ok J, time for bed, see you in the morning. We'll go see your parents tomorrow as well," Daveed told me looking at the time on my clock.

"Goodnight Dav," I said to him as he was opening my door.

"Goodnight Jess," He said back to me and I fell asleep.
