Ramos Pamphlet & Critical Crossover (anniversary special)

THE RAMOS PAMPHLET

(a/n -this is what I think would happen in the story if the Ramos pamphlet is actually true because right now to me love is dead. This is also following the hypothetical)

I had been trying to calm myself down for days now after not knowing if it was actually Anthony in that stupid video. It wasn't helping that I was back at my old school after being forced to stay there by Noa.

I hadn't talked to Daveed, Emmy or Jazzy for just over a week now because I've been stressed out at school, got my phone taken away for the weekend and now the Ramos pamphlet. The time zones suck as well so I always have to do it early in the morning which is not easy when you don't wanna wake up a whole house.

I had reached the end of a panic attack and got out my phone quickly to call Daveed, I needed to talk to someone and I saw his and Rafa's story that they were writing for Blindpotting s2 so someone should be able to pick up.

"Hey Jess, what's up?" Daveed answered finally.

"Hey J!" I could hear Rafa shout.

"Hi, um... I kinda just need get away from everything, also what's going on with Janthony because I need to know if its true or not. And Noa made me go back to Sinai properly so I'm stuck there. I really just need you all." I had started crying by the end.

"J, just breathe ok, in... and out, in... and out. I need you to be calm ok, especially if I'm gonna tell you about the situation." Daveed tried to calm me.

"mhm" is all i could sound out.

"Ok, so Anthony did do that to Jas, and for now she is staying with us, I haven't talked to Anthony and I don't want to, he ruined something amazing and changed everything. I'm gonna guess that you're mad at him too and that you're on Jazzy's side because you always are, so I'm sorry about him. Now in... and out, ok Jess are you ok?" Daveed answered.

"Better now that I know love is dead, but also I can't handle being here

When we got outside I literally stopped in my tracks because of who I saw, and I really did not expect them to even know Joe or Sophie so that was crazy.

Mum and Dad brought me along to say hi to everyone they knew and to introduce me with, and by the time we got around to Daveed and Emmy I didn't know what to do. Mum apparantly had a mutual friend with them or something so they had met a few times before.

"Oh you havent met Malti or Jess yet, this little one is Malti-Marie, and the big kid is Jess,"

"Hi," I said shyly after dad slightly nudged me forward

"We adopted her from Australia about two months ago now, you guys were stuck in her city for a bit in like 2020 right?" Nick asked them

"Yeah, Anthony and I were doing a talk at Grahams High School and then a lockdown started, luckily this girl, actually her names Jess too, she took us in." Daveed told us

"We actually almost adopted her but her godmother wouldnt let us take her back here, we do still keep in contact with her, do you know her?" Emmy asked me

"Wait I used to go to Grahams! What was her last name?" I asked slightly excited and confused at how I didn't go to their talk, I guess middle schoolers weren't allowed to go

"Jess Chapman, she's graduating Sinai this year now." Daveed told me

"Oh yeah I know her she's the year above me! I heard what happened to her parents that year, we were even friends for a little bit before she got forced to move back to Sinai." I told them completely dumbfounded that I know basically their adopted kid.

p.s. i watched hamilton on broadway when i was in new york and the pro-shot doesnt even give it justice, highly reccomend seeing it live
