To be honest, Seulgi didn't know what she was doing anymore. She was waiting for Irene at the entrance of the supermarket. Joy offered to drop Irene there before work so the latter just told Seulgi the new arrangement. Seulgi's efforts were all in vain when she woke up earlier and figured she should have stayed a bit more to take a power nap since she would not be picking up Irene.
She took extra time to roam around the supermarket ahead to familiarize the important sections. She had no idea about doing groceries when she wasn't a big fan of stocking foods unless her mom would ask her brother to bring some groceries over. It was silly but she didn't like the idea that this would be used against her. Irene tends to tease her over small things. Something she was already prepared for.
Seulgi straightened her body the moment she saw Irene's small figure walking amongst the crowd. The latter was waving excitedly at her like there were no other people around. She chuckled as she copied the small bean's way of waving. From a distant she imagined Irene like a happy hopping bunny approaching towards her direction. In one short stride forward she was able to meet the cute bunny.
"Hey," Seulgi greeted. "You're late." She stated.
Irene quickly checked her watch and furrowed. "You're way too early. I am 2 minutes early." She showed her watch to the tall girl. "Are you excited that we are going to buy all your favorite foods' ingredients?"
"Huh, I just don't want to be late. And I'm not excited to tour you around the supermarket." She lied. She actually wanted to show off that she was familiar with the supermarket.
"Whatever, let's keep going, Seul." Irene clung on Seulgi's arm. She tends to be clingy and touchy only to people she was close with. And she was really comfortable with the mono eyelid girl. Especially she knew Lisa won't be friends with just anyone.
"Are you really like this?" Seulgi awkwardly asked. She's getting conscious with every direct contact from the small girl.
"Yes, to selected people only. And you are not allowed to complain."
"I am not even saying anything. But wait up." Seulgi paused which made Irene to halt.
"What?"
Without saying anything Seulgi bent down and fixed Irene's shoelace. That very gesture reminded Irene of Lisa but just let Seulgi be and didn't comment about it. "You should be careful next time. Check it before you go out from the house. What if you accidentally tripped off?" She didn't want to sound like an old concerned sister but she sounded just like that.
"Hmph, you could have let me know. I am not spineless, Seul. But thanks." She smiled with her eyes.
"Tsk, you can just say that you are thankful without having to say anything irrelevant." Seulgi stated.
"Hmph, shut it smart mouth."
"Yah, when did you learn to act like that? Where's the demure Irene I met in Busan?" Seulgi teased.
"Well good news, we are no longer strangers so I would act as how I would normally do with my friends."
"Wow, you are getting bolder. Hmmm but I like it. It's better than being too formal with me."
"Lisa did put up with me, why won't you too?" She innocently asked.
"First, I am bit older than you, so yeah I'm don't really give importance for trivial matters. And second I am not Lisa who was so whipped and addicted to you." She chuckled. "So sorry to disappoint you there." Seulgi felt that it was childish to put up with anyone. She could do whatever she likes.
"Then just be yourself. I am just joking, Seulgi. Should I call you unnie? You're older than me, right?"
"Nah, Lisa and you are about the same age. It's fine to me to be addressed casually."
