Recap: As we waited, I heard the opening to Only Human.
And as the beat picked up, the sheet fell, and so did my jaw.
Nick, Joe and my dad were on the stage.
My hands flew to my mouth as my dad gave me a wink.
We jumped, screamed and sang at the top of our lungs.
"Welcome to Ashley's Sweet 16, everybody!", Joe announced, making everyone scream.
"On behalf of the Ashley and the Jonas family, we'd like to thank all of you for coming out to celebrate our favorite girl.", Nick continued.
"She's grown tremendously over the years, and you have all helped with that growth, from supporting her dreams to supporting her in general.", my dad added.
"And now, it's time for the candle lighting ceremony. Ashley?", Joe called me up, and everyone cheered.
I hugged them all, but I hugged my dad the tightest.
"I always keep my promises, don't I?", he whispered, kissing my cheek.
"I guess so.", I chuckled.
I took the microphone from Joe, and began to give my speeches.
"The first candle will be lit by my amazing parents, Kevin and Danielle Jonas.", the crowd cheered.
"Mom and dad, from consoling me when I needed it, to making me smile when I needed it, you guys have been there through it all. I appreciate you both more than anything, and I was hoping you'd light this candle for me.", I smiled, as Mikey played 'Never Grow Up'.
As I was the one who chose all the songs, I saw Joe glare at me.
I stuck out my tongue in response, as he rolled his eyes.
While they both tearfully lit the candle, I began to tear up myself.
"Next, my babies. Lena and Val. You both mean the world to me. I'd walk through pits of fire for the both of you, and I am so lucky to be your big sister. And with the help of mom, I'm hoping you two can light this candle.", I sniffled a little, as 'Count On Me' played.
It's the first song I ever sang to Valentina when she came home from the hospital, and I sing it to Alena when she goes to sleep.
They looked so adorable in their matching blue dresses, and I nearly sobbed when they lit the candle.
"Next, is my amazing boyfriend. Aides, you have made me such a better person. Even though I can't be around you for long because I get pissed off easily.", everyone laughed.
"But I love you beyond words, and you've made me the best me. Could you light this candle?", I asked.
He sent me a small smile, as 'A Thousand Years' began playing.
And as he walked back, we shared a tiny kiss, which made everyone aw.
And the candle lighting ceremony went on, and everyone else lit their candles.

Then it was time to sing 'Happy Birthday', and we all gathered around the cake.
