Ashley

Here we were again.

September 17th, 2018.

My 15th birthday.

Aria, Mads and Tiler stayed over last night, so I was absolutely exhausted.

Sadly, Tiler went home this morning, because she had some stuff to take care of.

I guess I couldn't say the same for them, because at 11:30, they were jumping on my bed.

"Seriously?", I yawned.

"Come on, you're coming out with us today.", Madeline said, practically dragging me out of bed.

"I'm not leaving the house for another week, leave me be.", I replied, pulling my covers back over my head.

"I guess you don't want cake tonight.", Aria mumbled, opening the door for them to leave.

I sprung up out of bed.

"Cake?", I asked, to which they nodded.

"I'll be down in 15.", I replied, making them go downstairs.

I put on my black birthday dress, some fishnet tights (surprisingly parent appropriate 🤷‍♀️) and some nude heels.

I curled a few strands of my hair, and mixed it in.

I carefully walked downstairs, and saw balloons everywhere.

"Happy birthday Ashley!", everyone yelled, nearly making me trip down the last step in fright.

"Thank you, thank you.", I smiled, regaining my balance.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Alaina and Ryley.

"Laine!", I squealed, running as fast I could over to them.

"Woah, relax Speedy Gonzales.", Ryley laughed, as I turned to hug her, completely ignoring him.

"Happy birthday, little Ley!", Alaina smiled.

"How old are you, like 20?", Ryley joked, which ended with me nudging his arm.

"I'm 15, thank you very much.", I retorted, giving him a look.

"Be nice, you two.", Alaina jokingly warned.

I went around, hugging everyone as they all wished me a happy birthday.

"Alright, time for your first birthday surprise.", my parents said, before we all went to our designated cars.

As I walked towards dad's car, he pulled me back gently.

"Oh no, that's not the car we're taking.", he said.

I raised an eyebrow in confusion.

My mom pulled up in a convertible style limo, making my jaw drop.

"We're taking a limo!", she exclaimed.

The girls and I got our own space in the front, with my dad driving.

We were jamming out to whatever was on the radio, until we pulled up at a paintball center.

"Oh, you guys are on.", I chuckled, as everyone got out of their cars.

Literally everyone was there (minus the grandparents and the tiny ones), so we split into two teams.
