I was laying on my bed when I got a call from Aria.
"What?", I asked.
"Bro, didn't you hear the news?", she replied.
"What news?", I said.
"Juice is gone. He died a little while ago.", she sighed.
My face dropped.
"Aria, stop playing with me. That's not funny.", I said, my body and voice trembling.
"I'm saying no bullshit. He's gone. Search it up.", she replied.
I immediately opened my browser to search up 'Juice WRLD', and the reports came flooding in.
"I'll call you back.", I said, hanging up.

I was scrolling through a TMZ report, and even seeing how he died made me feel sick to my stomach.
So much to the point where I actually threw up.

I screamed and I cried.
Juice was genuinely one of my best friends.
He was going through so much stuff in the last few months, but I believed he would get better.
He actually called me a few days ago and told me he was going to be a dad.
I was ecstatic for him.
Working with him wasn't like work, it was like having fun and fooling around with someone you've know forever.
Juice's one piece of advice was, and I quote: "don't let anyone take away your light. ever. because somebody else's hate turns into your strength."
I cried for 3 days straight.
I couldn't bring myself to believe what I was hearing.
Mom, Dad and Aidan tried to make me feel better, but nothing could fix the pain.

Putting my feelings out there felt good.
But I couldn't get my mind off someone who meant a lot to Juice.
Ally.
Juice and Ally were about to start a future together, about to have a kid.
He was truly trying to get better.
But his tries weren't enough.
I pulled up at Ally and Juice's house unannounced, but knowing she would be home.
As I rang the doorbell, flowers in my hand, she answered the door, looking like she hadn't slept in days.
"Hey Ally.", I sighed.
"Hey Ash. Come in, come in.", she said, letting me in.
As I walked in, I looked around.
The house looked untouched.
As I gave her the flowers, she smiled a little.
"Thanks, love.", she hugged me.
"How've you been?", I asked.
She looked like she was about to cry, so I held her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"I miss him, a lot. I never imagined I'd lose him so soon.", she sniffled.
"How do you do this grief thing, Ash? You know it better than I do.", she asked me, crying now.
"It's a day by day thing. You never forget them, but it gets easier over time, I promise.", I sighed.
"I don't understand it all. It was just his birthday, he was going to be a dad. Why now?", she cried, as I hugged her.
"It's a normal thing. Everyone goes. But he went because he was too much for this world. It was his time. It seems early, hell yeah, but this is how it was supposed to be.", I told her.
She cried, sniffling.
"I'm sorry, Ashley. You shouldn't have to see me like this.", she said.
"Don't apologize. We are strong, women. And as they say, 'don't be sad because they're gone, be happy they were here.' You knew Juice better than anyone, but he was like a brother to me.", I started crying myself.
"He always called you his 'baby sister'. I hope you know that you meant the world to him, Ashley. I used to joke with him that he cared more about you than he did about me.", she chuckled a little, and I laughed with her.
"Even before you guys met. He was a huge fan of yours. He was so upset when he found out you got locked up. But he was proud of you. Even when you won your Grammy, he was over the moon happy for you. He literally said 'that's my bitch!'.", she smiled, as if she was reminiscing.
"Sounds like something he'd do.", I laughed.
We just talked about memories we had with him, until my mom was mass texting me.
"I've gotta go, Alls. Thanks for lifting my spirits a little.", I smiled, hugging her tightly.
"Right back at you. Thanks for your support.", she smiled.
As I was about to walk out of the door, she stopped me.
"Hey, Ashley!", she called, making me turn around.
"Hmm?"
"Come back soon, would you? I need some company, and you do that for me.", she asked.
"Of course. I love you, Ally.", I told her.
"Love you too.", she waved me goodbye, and I closed the door.
I got back in my car, feeling better.
I was happy that I'd gotten my feelings out completely.
But I still miss you, Juice.
