"Ow mom, you just pulled my hair!", I groaned, yawning.
"Calm down, you're so tender headed. I don't know who you get that from.", she replied, brushing out my hair for graduation.
Today was it.
My high school graduation.
Trust me, I didn't think I'd make it here.
There's been so many times where I've wanted it all to stop.
For it all to end.
Forever.
But, I toughed it out.
And here we are.
"Oh, and I hope you finished your speech, young lady.", mom suddenly said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"It's almost done. I just need to write a few more things.", I lied.
"Ash, I know you're lying.", she gave me a stern look as she pulled out the flat iron.
"I haven't written anything yet."
"Ashley Danielle! You had months to write this speech, so why the hell haven't you even started?", she whisper yelled.
And thank the lord she whispered, because Alena and Valentina were right next door.
"I know, I know.", I mumbled.
"What did dad and I tell you about responsibility?", she asked me.
"That I need to to get better at it, or I'm gonna end up ruining my future."
"Right."
She was eventually done straightening my hair, finished my makeup, and I was able to get dressed.
I decided to FaceTime Aidan, and see if he's awake.
And what do you know, he wasn't.
"Ash, it's 7:30.", he groaned.
"Yeah, and graduation is at 9. Why aren't you up?", I asked him.
"I'm getting up in 15 minutes.", he yawned.
"Or, you could get up now, get dressed and come over.", I replied.
"I'll think about it."
He eventually hung up, and I knew it was because he was planning to go back to sleep.
I sighed, zipping up the back of my dress.
