Few months passed. Tom had made huge progress with Sydney, getting things back to the way they were before. Harry was on a case, where this Vietnamese gang was forcing business owners to pay them for "protection" if they didn't pay their store was ruined or they were beaten up. Harry had joined the gang and became friends with the leader, and he was getting initiated into the gang, and had to go with him and get the payments. Fuller wanted Doug and Tom to do surveillance, and be there the night that Harry was supposed to do this.
Tom took Sydney to lunch that day. He drove her home. She said "So you have fun on your date with Doug tonight" Tom made a face and said "Gee thanks Syd Appreciate that" He smiled." She laughed. He said "I would rather be going to the movies with you and Judy" Sydney smiled. He said "I guess I need to go. Fuller wanted meet with us and Harry go over plans. Have a fun night with Judy." She said "I will" He said "Well please not too much fun without me" He grinned. She laughed.
Tom hugged her. She said "Tommy thanks for lunch." He said "thank you for letting me take you." He turned and was walking to the door. Sydney got a weird feeling about Tom. It kind of freaked her out a little. She said "Hey Hanson wait" Tom stopped. He was at the door. She came to him.
She hugged him and kissed his cheek. She said "Hanson be careful tonight ok" Tom said "always. It's not a big deal though we are just going to be sitting watching and then step in if Harry needs us to." Sydney said "will you do me a favor" Tom said "Anything" She said "will you call me as soon as you are done." Tom said "yes." Sydney said "hey Hanson, will you come here and stay here tonight" Tom smiled. He said "Of course Sydney. I would love that." She said "Good. Thanks" She hugged him again. She had a tight hold on him.
Tom said "Baby you ok" She said "Yeah I'm fine. I just want you to be careful. I just feel kind of weird" Tom said "Weird how" Sydney said "About tonight maybe I should go with you. I'll call Judy and cancel" He said "no baby look Judy was looking forward to seeing this movie, and I know you are looking forward to it. I'll be fine." Sydney said "ok. Be careful." Tom said "I will. You have fun ok" She said "ok." She let go of him. Tom turned to leave. Another weird feeling came over her, as she watched him walk out the door.
Sydney called Judy and asked her what time she needed come pick her up. Judy said "how about we go eat before the movie" Sydney said "ok so 5." Judy said "yeah that will work." Sydney picked Judy up and they went to Abuelos. Sydney was still thinking about the weird feeling. Judy said "you ok" Sydney said "yeah I just a weird thing happened today. Tom hugged me to leave, and I got this weird feeling." Judy said "what kind of weird feeling" Sydney said "kind of unnerving. I mean like I don't know I'm worried something bad will happen on their stakeout tonight." Judy said "I wouldn't worry. Look Doug and Tom are just going to be sitting in the car. Doug will probably be driving Tommy crazy." Sydney laughed and said "yes I'm sure. I just this feeling is nagging me. I hope it's nothing. I told Tommy about it and he said not to worry."
Judy said "yeah don't worry I'm sure it is nothing. It's probably just cause you and Tommy are back to spending every minute together that you are upset that you are apart tonight" Sydney said "yeah that is probably it. He's coming over though afterwards." Tom picked up Doug. They parked across the street from one of the businesses on the list. Doug had brought his dinner.
Doug said "you know Chinese food always gives me gas, so you've been warned." Tom looked at him. Tom said "you know you might try chewing on it you might be able to taste it" He looked at Doug. Doug said "I know what this taste like, I had it yesterday." Doug said "last one, you want it." Tom said "no." Doug ate it and then threw the carton in the back of Tom's car. Tom said "Hey you see that, he pointed to the little white sack Tom has set up in his car for his trash. You understand it's function?" Doug threw napkin back there. Tom said "hey listen you have two seconds either that garbage is gone or you are." Tom counted one, then two, he started move towards Doug
