CHAPTER 86: COLLISION

I'm 8 months pregnant and feel huge. 

The girls keep us so busy, especially Tom. They are getting so big and are so beautiful and adorable.

They keep us laughing with things they do.

It seems every day is a new day for them and us, and they see what they can get into.

Tom tells them when he is rocking them to sleep, that they are growing up too fast. 

I'm just working from home mostly. Although I do go into the station once in awhile with Tom.

Tom is taking good care of me, but he watches me like a hawk. But he's doing it because he loves me and wants to make sure the baby and I are healthy.

Judy was on a tough case at one of the tough schools.  I was worried about her.

Harry wasn't really wanting to do cases, although he is back to work, but the high school Judy was in had some gang stuff and Adam didn't think it would be good to put Harry into that situation.

One of the new officer's that Adam hired his name is Dex. And things aren't going that good with him. It's kind of a lot of tension.

Tom and Doug and Harry don't like him. Judy doesn't care much for him either. She thinks he is cocky and arrogant. But also has an attitude that women are inferior to men, and should be obedient.

I am not around him as much, and he's been polite to me each time I see him, but Judy thinks it's because he's afraid of Tom. Tom has pretty much told him to stay the hell away from me.

Dex was on the case with Judy, but it wasn't going well. He got into a fight with one of the guys at the school, and got himself suspended for the day.

Judy was over at our house, telling us about it. She was actually telling Tom about it, as I was in the bathroom.

This little guy keeps me going to the bathroom a lot.

I overheard her telling Tom and I said, "Judy that is not good. You shouldn't go tomorrow without Dex there."

She said, " it's not like he's been much help, and she really has to go because she thinks she is close."

She said Dex is on the wrong track, he refuses to listen to her, she thinks that she knows who the suspect is.

A student was beaten almost to death, jumped on the gym basketball court, and they found him clinging to life the next morning, when school started.

Dex thinks it's this gang that did it. But Judy thinks that he's wrong, because Judy made friends with this girl Julia, she's a cheerleader, and from some of the things Julia has said, and how she has acted around Judy. She thinks that Julia might have been attacked, and the guy that was beaten was the attacker.

Dex thinks that is ridiculous and told Judy that Julia was probably just on her period and being all crying and moody.

Tom said that he thought I was right, Judy shouldn't go into school tomorrow. Because Judy had said that she thinks she is on the right track. That when she took Julia out for pizza and pop, that Julia's brother and father got all upset, and didn't want Julia telling Judy anything. Judy said that Julia had started to open up about what has been bothering her, and then the brother and dad came over, and she got all tense, and shut up, and then when they left, she clammed up and wouldn't talk.

I told Judy I thought she was right, that Julia is probably the key to this case. And that maybe her brother did it. As revenge.

Tom said he couldn't blame him if that guy did attack his sister. Then the guy got what he deserved.
