CHAPTER 37: FIGHT AT THE MOVIES

Sydney woke up next morning Tom wrapped around her.  She loved being in his arms.  She was happy that he slept all night, he really needed the sleep.  She managed to get out of his arms, without waking him up, but it wasn't easy.  She would get almost out, and he would pull her back.

She went into the kitchen.  She wanted to make Tom a big breakfast, but also didn't want to wake him up.  Her phone rang it was Judy.  Judy said sorry for calling so early, Sydney said, "you leaving to see your parents" Judy said, "yes."  Sydney said, 'have a safe trip."  Judy said, 'Thanks, I'll call you when I get there."  

Sydney decided to go ahead and start breakfast.  Tom came out, his hair a mess, all in his face. He didn't have his shirt on, just in his jeans.  

Tom came into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Sydney's waist.  He said, 'morning baby" She said, "I was going to serve you breakfast in bed."  He smiled.  He said, "smells so good"

Tom was kissing her neck.  She turned around and faced him, he kissed her.  He picked her up, and put her on the kitchen counter, still kissing her.   She broke the kiss.  She said, "I can't believe you slept so long."  Tom said, "I know."  She said, "I'm so glad, you were exhausted babe."  He said, "yeah it felt good getting a good night's sleep. I feel great today."   Sydney said, "Breakfast is almost ready. Sit down" Tom did.  They were eating.

Tom said, "so do you have plans for us today?"  Sydney said, "no whatever you want to do is fine."  Just then doorbell rang.  Tom said, "I'll get it."  Sydney went with him, he said, 'ok we'll both get it."  He took her hand.

It was Harry.  Harry said, "hey guys," They said, "hey" Sydney gave Harry a hug.  Harry was a little down, as he had just broken up with a girl he really liked. Harry said, 'am I interrupting" Tom said, "no I'm just eating the delicious breakfast Syd fixed me."  Sydney said, "Harry there is plenty if you are hungry" He said, "sure."  She said, "Come on;" They went to the kitchen. Harry sat down and she fixed a plate for him. Harry said, 'Judy called to say she was off to see her parents.:  Sydney said, "yes she called me too. I hope they have a great visit."

Tom said, "So Sydney do you guys want to go to the movies" Sydney said, "Movies huh, you wouldn't want to go see that silly action movie you guys been talking about " She smiled.  Tom said, "never mind, how about I take you to the mall."  Sydney said, "Hanson I'm teasing you. You and Harry can go to the movies."  Sydney was doing the dishes.  Tom came and stood behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist.  He said, "I'll take you shopping. I don't want to go to the movies without you" She said, 'Hanson I'm teasing, I'll go with you guys."  He said, "oh ok are you sure. If you don't want to see it we can see what you want. I just want to be with you."  She kissed him.  She said, 'Tom we can go see what you want. I just want to be with you.  I'm going to go take a shower."  He said, "ok"

Harry said, "Hanson I'm sorry I interrupted."  Tom said, "no don't be. You're always welcome here you know that."  Harry said, "thanks."  Tom said, "So how are you doing?"  Harry said, "I'm hanging in there."  Tom said, 'I'm really sorry things didn't work out."  Harry said, "thanks, it just wasn't meant to be. I'll be ok. So, things look like they are going good between you and Sydney."  Tom smiled. He said, 'yes, they are going great."

Sydney came into the living room.  Tom said, "I'll go get dressed.  Sydney sat on the couch and talked to Harry.

The movie started at 12:00.  They arrived at the theater and stood in line to get their tickets. Tom said, 'Baby I'm going to stop in the men's room, before I get the concessions."  Sydney said, 'yeah I think I'll join you."  Tom made a puzzled face.  She said, "no I mean I think I'll go to the women's restroom; I'll meet you outside in the waiting area."  Tom kissed her.
