CHAPTER 82: TWO COUPLES, SAME FIGHT

A couple weeks have passed.  Dennis and Jackie are back from their honeymoon.  Dennis needed to come back earlier than he had planned, because of a private investigation case he needed to do for his new boss.

Dorothy wanted to have Dennis and Jackie over for dinner and wanted to look at their wedding pictures.

Dorothy told them the pictures are so beautiful, they make a gorgeous couple.

While they were eating, Jackie said, "anything new happen while we were gone?"

Dorothy said, " yeah, I'm not sure if you guys have heard, Doug did you tell Booker about Hanson."

Doug said, "no."

Dennis said, "Damn Penhall don't tell me Hanson has messed up again."

Doug said, 'No Booker and you need to try and give the guy a break. It's not his fault he got framed or had to go seek help. He's been a great husband and dad since he's been home."

Dennis said, "Sorry. You're right, so what's up with Hanson."

Dorothy said, "guess who is pregnant again?"

Booker said, 'you're kidding" He looked at Doug.

Doug said, "no Sydney is pregnant, just found out a couple weeks ago."

Jackie said, " she didn't have much time since the last time."

Dorothy said, "I would be furious if I were her."

Dennis said, "I can't believe this. What the hell is wrong with him?  Having another baby is the last thing Sydney needs. He's being so damn selfish."

Dennis was ranting about it.  Doug said, "he didn't plan it. He was just as surprised as she was."

Dennis said, "how is she feeling about this?  Last pregnancy was so rough on her. He didn't even give her time to heal physically or mentally. She was just starting back to work part time."

Doug said, "she is happy and excited about it, for the most part after she got over the shock. But hoping this pregnancy will be different. Tom will be here for her."

Dennis was upset.  Which upset Jackie.

Dorothy could tell by looking at Jackie, which Dennis it was oblivious to him that his new bride was upset.  Dennis was ranting about Hanson, and then Dorothy changed the subject.  She asked Booker questions about their honeymoon, did they take in any tourist attractions, what was his favorite.

Dennis and Jackie left and went home.  She was quiet in the car on the way home.  Then got out and slammed the car door and slammed the door as she entered her house.

Dennis stared at her, surprised that she was mad.

Dennis followed her in. 

He said, "I take it you're upset with me, what did I do?"

She said, "you don't know. How can you not know."  That made her even angrier, and she stormed into the bedroom.

Dennis followed her in there.

She said, "I'm tired of coming in second to your precious ex-girlfriend. I'm your wife. We just got back from our honeymoon. And all you can do is rant and rave about Hanson having sex with his wife."

Dennis said, "That's not true."

She said, "it is true. Don't even stand there and try and tell me that you were not upset when Dorothy said that Sydney is pregnant again."

Dennis said, "I'm not saying that. Yes, I was upset, but not because she is having sex with her husband. I'm upset about the fact that the last thing she needs right now is another baby. Their twins are only 7 months old. She had a rough pregnancy, and was sick the entire time, plus the added stress he put on her being away the whole time."
