"What just happened?" Meredith asked Derek once Addie had left them both sitting there.

She got no reply.

It made her feel queasy, she was clearly out of the loop with something.

"Derek?" Meredith asked again putting her hand on his shoulder that was closest to her.

"Uh huh?" Derek flinched and looked at her. Except he wasn't looking at her. He was trying to make her think he was but looking at her nose and looking at her eyes are quite different.

"Are you going to explain what just happened?" Meredith asked again.

"I-... I'm not sure Mer." Derek began to stutter.

"Come on Der." Meredith whined.

"What do you want me to say Mer?"

"I want you to tell me what happened. Something has clearly happened that I'm unaware of so tell me." Meredith said as she pulled his chin up to look into his eyes.

"Is it about me? Have I done something wrong?" She started to panic.

"What, no. God Mer, you haven't done anything wrong." He breathed, finally looking at her.

"So why won't you tell me?"

"Because I- there's nothing to tell."

"Your lying." she was starting to get frustrated.

"Meredith, I just told you I don't know what happened. It must be her time of the month or something." Derek snapped.

Meredith sat there in shock, she couldn't believe he had raised his voice at her.

"Your an ass!" She shouted and walked off.

She walked so quickly that she failed to hear Derek mutter, "I know."

He was in serious regret.

Meredith and Derek both avoided each other like the Black Plague that day, and it seemed that Addison had disappeared too.

As Meredith sat in class, biology: her favourite. She couldn't help but be distracted, the back end of her pen tapping the desk gently, in rhythm with her leg.

Derek watched her from his seat, he knew all to well what she was doing. She was blaming herself, going over everything she had said to both himself and Addison in the last few days. None of this was her fault, she was the victim in the all this but she didn't know that and to see her blaming herself made him sick.

He needed to tell her but he couldn't find the words. He had disappointed himself so much and knowing how much it would break her, he wanted to avoid telling her at all costs.

Although he was watching her, he didn't notice her in conversation with Mark, until he did. He was too far away from them to listen to what they said but he knew Mark hadn't told her because she still had that gorgeous smile on her face.

"So, life treating you well Grey?" Mark smirked breaking Meredith out of he trance.

"What?" She replied with a frown.

"Everything good?" He frowned. He wondered if she had found out.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" She snapped.

"You just seem kinda... biiitchyyy." He winced at the last word as he dragged it out of his mouth.

He was surprised when it made her laugh.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be, it's just somethings going on with Derek and he won't tell me. I'm just annoyed I guess." She told him with a smile.

"Ignore him. Dereks an ass." He joked.

"I said the same thing." She laughed.

"So, I'm having a party on Saturday at my house. Wanna come?"

"Oh, I-um probably not, not after last time."

"He won't be there Grey, it's just people from our classes." He tried to persuade her.

"There'll be plenty of tequila." He teased.

"Ok fine, count me in." Meredith giggled.

"Good." Mark laughed and rested back in his seat as she turned forwards.

Meredith grabbed her phone and text Derek. She didn't want to argue with him anymore and if that meant forgetting whatever had happened between him and Addison, then she would.

"Party at Marks on Saturday? You in?" she sent the message and turned her head to look at him.

"Sure, are you?" he replied.

"Of course, tequila will be there!"

"Your making light of things."

"If you don't want to talk about it with me then I can let it go. I just want to know that whatever happened though you can talk me to about it, I'm sorry for snapping at you." She quickly sent.

"Thanks for understanding Mer. I hate when we fight. <3."

"I know, I do too. I love you."

"I love you too Mer. More than you'll ever know." He really did mean it.

"My place after school still?" she sent.

"Of course."

He looked up and watched as she put her phone back in her bag with a smile on her face, there eyes met and they smiled, a blush creeping up on Meredith's cheek. All was well... As of now.
