One month later and Meredith was now 11 weeks pregnant and still refusing to talk to Derek. She was discharged after a week and a half in the hospital, Ellis had taken a few days off to look after her but now she was back working and the only thing Meredith had to occupy herself with was her thoughts.

She couldn't get past the initial thought, he literally used her. The only thing she was to him was a prize. She fell for him and she didn't mean nothing to him. But he seemed so upset. She knew deep down that he was sorry and that somewhere along the way the way he saw her changed, but that didn't change the fact that he did it and she couldn't see anything past that.

She was sat on the sofa in the living room, her feet up and a hand resting on her stomach which had barely risen but risen just enough for only her to notice her forever friend. She honestly laughed at the timing of her situation, here she was pregnant with Derek's baby at only 17 whilst she couldn't bare the thought of him. It couldn't get any better.

Meredith looked down at the phone next to her that was ringing non stop. She knew who it was. It was the same person who had been calling her every day and night since leaving the hospital. At first she appreciated the concern but now it was just getting annoying.

"Hi Addie." Meredith breathed.

"Hey Mer! What took you so long to answer?"

"Baby bladder." She lied.

"Ah. How are you?"

"I'm good, you can stop calling every minute." She laughed.

"Have you spoke to-"

She was interrupted before she even finished her sentence.

"Nope." Meredith sighed, popping the 'p' sound.

"Don't ask. Don't question. Change the subject." She said

"Meredith you can't just ignore him forever." Addison sighed.

"Well... maybe not forever but I can until I want to." She admitted.

Meredith was Addison's best friend, truly she was. But Addison couldn't help but feel frustrated at her, she knew what Derek did was an awful thing and she understood how Meredith wouldn't want to see him but she had to. She's having his child, like it or not they are tied together for life.

"Don't you think it's time to start moving on?" She said hesitantly.

"Seriously? Seriously!" Meredith shouted down the phone.

Addison stifled a giggle at her friends sudden rage.

"I'm not saying you have to forgive him or anything Mer but I think you need to start thinking about what your going to do in the future. Start thinking about your child."

"What so now I'm a bad mother?" Meredith burst out.

"You know what Addison, forget it. Stop defending him and stop making me feel like crap! Also stop calling too, I'm fine!" She shouted before she slammed down the phone and cried. The pregnancy hormones were really setting in and in full speed.

"So I take it shes just not coming to school no more?" Mark asked as they sat at lunch.

"I think she just needs some time." Addison cleared her throat.

"It's been a month." Mark scoffed.

"Well maybe she needs a bit longer. A lot has happened for her, don't blame her for needing time to process everything." She sighed, she was missing her best friend.

"Well no problems are being solved by her refusing to talk to anyone and not leaving her house so what does she want?" Mark asked rudely.

The two had practically forgotten about Derek who was sat pushing his food around his plate. He felt like a complete ass, he was a complete ass. He understood that Meredith needed space and time away from him but he didn't think it would be this long. It had been 4 weeks without hearing a word from her about how she was doing or their baby.

He was afraid to see Meredith again. Afraid that she might completely end what they had, although he already knew that there was a big chance of that happening. As well as Meredith, there was Ellis. Meredith was furious and hurt but Ellis, she was a whole other level and he was terrified of what she would do to him. Part of him thought that she would actually dissemble him with a scalpel if she saw him.

"Mark just keep your opinions to yourself! It's your fault we're in this predicament so just shut it will you!" Addison lost it.

"Jeez woman, calm down." Mark gritted.

"Although can I just point out, technically I'm only responsible for one of her issues right now. The others down to Shep." Mark said with a smirk.

"Your a jerk." Derek scoffed. He couldn't bare listening to the two bicker and gossip about his life like he wasn't there any longer. So he left.

If she had nothing else left in her life, at least she had strawberry ice cream. That was something she could always count on. In the past two hours she had ate nearly the entire tub and although she felt sick, she couldn't stop. Her eyes were trained to the TV watching a movie and her hand was in a constant action of tub to mouth, tub to mouth, tub to mouth.

School wasn't even a concern to her anymore, her work was being sent home to her and she was doing it but attending school, no. The idea of walking through the halls of school after everyone knowing what had happened, whilst she was pregnant made her so anxious she nearly threw up. She couldn't face the looks and the stares and the comments being shouted at her. It was simply not an option.

Her thoughts were dragged away from her by the door bell and she begrudgingly walked towards it, opening it without bothering to look through the peep hole.

"Meredith." Derek breathed.

Meredith froze, only she would find herself so careless to let this happen. She considered shutting the door in his face but a small part of her wanted to listen to him as well as the large part of her that knew he wouldn't go away if she did that.

"What." She snapped staring sharply into his eyes which he avoided.

"Ca... can we talk? Please." He sighed.

Meredith took a minute to look at him, to really look at him. She noticed how worn he look, the dark circles that had camped under his eyes, the paleness of his skin, how heavy his eyes looked. She knew she shouldn't feel guilty and she didn't mostly, but she knew why he looked the way he did.

"Mer?" He readdressed her.

She didn't say anything but she stepped aside and opened the door for him to enter.

He looked at her hesitantly and breathed in before releasing it again and taking a step inside.

This was really happening.

Hey! I'm so sorry for being inactive this week, but I do have a reason.

I went out on Friday night and somebody drugged my drink and I was taken to hospital. I'm feeling better now but I've had a rough week hence the lack of chapters. I hope you enjoy this one!
