Looking through her wardrobe, she had no idea what to wear, her mom wasn't home yet which meant in theory she could wear whatever. She had some dresses in her wardrobe that she wore to parties back in Boston but something was telling her not to. Her hair and makeup was done simply but with a bit of glam, she had painted her nails white and now was just needing an outfit.

Sighing, she pulled out a black satin halter neck top that was backless until the lower back and a purple mini skirt, and decided instead of wearing stiletto heels, she would wear black heel boots. Putting her outfit on and put together she turned to the mirror and felt good. She quickly took so selfies to post onto her Instagram, grabbed her lipgloss and bag and called a cab.

Mark lived only 10 minutes away from her so she arrived at his house pretty quickly, although on the drive over there she had a feeling she couldn't describe, she felt nervous for everyone to see her dressed up and to make that better, she couldn't take her anxiety medication if she was going to be consuming alcohol which either meant no tequila or no meds. Easy. No meds.

"Hey girl!" Addie shouted as she hugged Mer out of the cab.

"Hey Addie." Meredith giggled, clearly noticing Addison was a little tipsy already.

"You look hot." She said

Meredith blushed and laughed, "thanks, I see someone's already drunk. I never would have pictures you for a lightweight Addie." she joked.

Addison gasped and feigned hurt before laughing and starting to dance in the front yard as her favourite song come on.

"I love this song!" She shouted. Meredith listened, rude boy by Rhianna, one of her favourites.

"Me too!" Both girls started singing and Meredith was just laughing at Addison as she dragged her through to the kitchen.

Derek and Mark were in the living room, or they was before Mark left with a girl. Derek looked around to see if Meredith was here yet but she definitely wasn't. He looked to see where Mark was and quickly found him making out with a girl against the staircase, , he thought and rolled his eyes sarcastically.

"Something funny?" A girl asked him as she sat closely next to him, her knees crossed and falling against his legs.

"Just my friend." He said as he sipped his beer and turned towards the girl.

"I'm Rose." She smiled.

"Derek." He said as he noticed her dark features, she was pretty.

"So, where's your girlfriend?" Rose asked with an almost flirtatious tone.

"What makes you think I have a girlfriend?" He asked flirting back.

"Well your hot and you look like your waiting for someone, but if not..." she began but lost Derek's attention as he turned his head quickly.

He had to admit Rose was pretty, and on any other occasion he wouldn't be opposed until he heard that laugh, that giggle he'd been waiting to here all night. Looking up he saw Addison dragging a 5"7 curly blonde into the kitchen and he instantly knew who it was.

"I'm sorry. I have to go somewhere." Derek said as he got up and left Rose on the sofa, he heard her scoff as he walked away.

Meredith was stood at the kitchen island laughing at Addison trying to form sentences, she hadn't even started drinking yet and already everyone was drunk.

"So! What do you drink Mer?" Addie shouted if the music.

"Tequila." Meredith shouted back and watched as Addison raised her eyebrows.

"Tequila, wow. Never pictured you to be a tequila girl, you know what they say." She laughed as she winked.

"What do they say?" Meredith asked as she watched Addison pour her drink.

"Girls who drink tequila..." Addison said but was interrupted.

"Girls who drink tequila, have lower standards." Derek joined in, watching as Meredith raised her eyebrows at him, "that's the saying." He clarified.

"Ah. Saved by the saying there Shepherd." Meredith giggled as she sipped the burning liquid.

"Where's Mark, Derek?" Addison asked.

"Last time I checked, he was busy." Derek snorted.

"Busy?" Meredith asked as she frowned, not quite putting the pieces together. The two didn't even notice Addison stumbling away.

"Yeah, busy with a girl." He joked but couldn't help but feel guilty at Meredith's innocence, he wasn't sure he wanted to continue in his bet.

"Oh, ohhhhh." Her eyes widened as she realised, she giggled awkwardly. Noticing it was just the two of them he decided to ask some questions.

"How are you?" He asked politely.

"I'm good, how are you?" Meredith smiled, "I had a nightmare finding an outfit tonight that's why I'm so late."

"This is a last minute outfit?" He asked smirking as he looked her up and down.

Meredith twirled playfully, "yeah."

His eyes widened as her skirt rose higher, "you look good."

"Thanks." She laughed and quickly felt awkward, "what are you drinking tonight?"

"Beer." He pointed his bottle up.

"Typical man." She laughed.

All Derek done was wink at her and they decided to go to the main room we're everybody was dancing. They walked out and he placed his hand on the small of her back in which she quickly looked back on and blushed as she smiled at him. Derek saw and thought to himself he was on a win for tonight, she clearly enjoyed having him around, leading all his guilts to leave his mind.
