After Meredith had calmed down a little bit, she decided to call Derek because after all he was the father, he deserves to know, and it's not like she could hide it forever.

She waited for him to pick up the phone and when he did her heart dropped because she realised she didn't know how to tell him.

"Hey Mer, how you feeling?" Derek asked.

"Hi, I'm good. I um, we need to talk." Meredith stuttered.

"Ok? Everything okay Mer, you sound terrified." She could see Derek's concerned face through his voice.

"I'll explain everything, can you come over after school?" Meredith said trying to sound like she was fine, she didn't want to make him worry even more all day.

"Sure, I'm finished after this period so I'll be just over an hour. Do you want anything from the shop?" Derek offered.

"Could you get some sour patch kids?" Meredith slightly giggled.

"Of course." Derek laughed.

"Thanks." Meredith said.

"Okay, I have to go. I'll see you soon Mer, love you."

"Love you too, bye." Meredith said before ending the phone call.

Sitting there she could still smell the sick on her and if Derek was coming around she didn't want to smell like sick. I mean he would have to get used to it because now, it weren't going anywhere. She pulled herself out of bed and turned on the shower, stepping under the hot water and covering her body with her favourite lavender body wash. She washed her hair and was feeling fresh.

As she stood under the shower, her hands unconsciously found their way to her stomach.

"Hi I'm your mommy. I know you think that I don't love you from my reaction to you but I do, I promise I do but I'm scared. I will do my best with you, I promise baby." She smiled.

Once she was clean and dried, she put on some fresh pyjamas, brushed her teeth and threw her hair up into a messy bun. She sat cross legged on her bed and turned to her macbook to watch something whilst she waited for Derek.

"Hey Mer, your mom let me in." Derek said as he walked into her room.

"Hey." She got up and hugged him, adoring the feel of his lips and he kissed her forehead and then her lips gently.

"How you feelin?" He asked, his hands stroking the tops of her arms.

"I'm okay. Do you want a drink or anything?" Meredith offered, she was nervous.

"No, I got one at the shop, here's your sweets." He said as he handed her the sour patch kids she'd asked for.

She laughed, "thank you Der." She put the sweets down on her nightstand and returned to her cross legged position as he sat next to her and put his arm around her.

"I have to tell you something." Meredith began.

"What is it." Derek asked.

"You need to promise me that you won't shout. I'm trusting you."

"Mer, just tell me. Your scaring me." He looked at her.

"I- I'm pregnant." She lost eye contact.

Derek's eyes widened and his mouth dropped.

"What?" Derek asked, surely he imagined that.

"I'm pregnant Der." She repeated.

Derek looked at her for any sign of a lie but all her found was how scared she looked. She looked drained and it was at the point he realised the red rings around her eyes. Although he was scared, he couldn't help but feel happy, it was him dream to be a dad and yes, it might have happened earlier than expected but still. He was going to be a dad.
