Don't Forget About Me

Chapter 34

After we shower and clean up we head out to the kitchen. I walk over to the fridge trying to figure out something to eat. Os comes up behind me a few minutes later and lands a kiss  on my neck. “Want to go grab something to eat? I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for us in two hours in the city.” I turn to him because again he surprises me. “An appointment for us?” I reach up to push his hair back. 

“Yes, us. The baby was made by us so the appointment is for us. I  want to be with you every step of the way with this so please let me.” How could I say no to that handsome face of his. “Ok, Us.” Just when I go in to give him a kiss I hear Sara and Octavius come out of her room. I look past Os and see them hand in hand. They are so cute together. “Did you guys sleep ok last night?” Sara looks at me and lets out a little giggle. “Yea it was ok.” She looked up at Octavius and he just shook his head. “Pretty sure it was more than Ok from what you were chanting an hour ago.” Sara slapped Octavius’s chest and got really embarrassed. 

“We are going to get something to eat, do you two want to come?” They shared a look and both nodded at the same time. When we arrived at the local sandwich shop Os got out of the car first and reached in for me. When I stepped out I felt that feeling again that someone was watching me so I decided to take a quick look around. Then I saw him. Across the way standing there watching us. The green eyed man. I froze and then Os noticed and looked where I was looking. 

“Lets get inside.” I looked at him and my stomach dropped. “I dont think I'm hungry anymore.” I look and see that Sara and Octavius are already inside and Os grabbed my hand. “It is probably safest that we just go inside and eat something. He won't come inside and do anything, there are too many people.” I hope he's right. I follow him inside and right before we walk in I turn to get one more look at the man and notice he is gone but where did he go. We are led to the table that the rest of our party is at and sit. Os lets me sit on the inside so that he can watch  the whole room. He leans over and whispers something in Octavius’s ear. Sara looks at me trying to figure out what is going on but then the waitress comes up. 

“What can I get you guys to drink?” I looked up at her and had no idea what to get. I needed to collect my thoughts. “I need to use the bathroom.” Then a thought comes to my head of the night I was attacked and I can't go by myself. “Sara, can you come with me?” She looks at me and gets up right away. “We will be right back.” I look at Os and rub the side of his face and give him a small smile. Walking away from the table I instantly get this nervous feeling. I turn and look at him once more and I see something in his eyes but I don't know what it is. I find the restroom and walk in the door. "What's going on Kels, you're scaring me." I go to the door and lock it to make sure no one can come in. 

"One of Os's fathers guards is outside. I don't know what is going to happen but you just have to promise you will stay with me." She walked over to me and gave me the biggest hug. "Of course I'm with you Kelsey, don't ever question that." She pulls back and then we hear it. Gun fire. Sara and I duck down. "What the fuck is going on? How are we going to get out of here Kelsey?" I look around and see the window on the far wall. I point over to it but put my finger over my mouth to show her that we need to be quiet. I feel my phone go off in my pocket.

-Os- Get out of here baby, I love you.

-Me- Come back to me. Promise me.

-Os- I promise, now go!

-Me- I love you, Always.

Then we heard yelling and screaming. I turn to Sara and grab her hand. "We have to get out of the window and go." I whispered to her but she looked so lost and scared. I put my hand on her face to show she can trust me. "I know where we can be safe and the boys will find us, don't worry." When did I become the big brave one? It's like Sara and I have switched rolls but I don't have time to think about that now we needed to go before it was too late. I pointed for Sara to go first. She got through and as soon as I got half way through I heard the bathroom door bust open. 

"She's in here boss." A man yelled but then I heard something else. Bang Bang. I slightly turn and see Os in the doorway with a gun and the man is on the floor. Every piece of me wants to run to him but he's silently telling me to go. "I love you Kelsey." My heart just breaks because just like that he's gone and I didn't even get to say it back. When I get out of the window I just start sobbing. What if that's the last time I see him and I didnt even get to tell him. Sara grabs me and we start to run. We make it down the alley when we hear the sirens and I hope Os and Octavius get out before they get there. We bend another corner and keep running. 

After we went a couple blocks and seemed like we were safe I grabbed my phone and try Os. The line is dead, straight to voicemail. I tried again, nothing. I feel myself get faint and I grab Sara and she holds me. "We need to find a car." I looked at her and she nodded and grabbed her phone. I instantly grabbed her hand. "We can't have a trail, we have to stay low key." I walk towards the road and glance back at her. "Do you have any cash? If we can get back to the apartment we can get Os's car but we have to be careful because they might be watching." She nodded and looked in her wallet. She pulled out some money and that might work. We both put our hands up and wave down the first cab we see.
