TW: brief mentions of violence

—

His offer never left your mind until you got home. It was tempting to say yes because of the possible higher salary, but who were you kidding? You don't even have a degree to accept his huge offer to be his secretary. You're not THAT experienced, either. Besides, why would he offer you that all of a sudden? Why was he putting his trust on you that you'll do the job perfectly like he wants you to? There are many employees that work for him that are more deserving for that position. Why me?

You doubt it's because he sees potential in you. Potential in what, exactly? All you did ever since you got in his company was get someone to sign whatever Ms. Uri asked you to. Or print the papers she wanted. Is he monitoring my actions since I found out he's my boss?

I really think highly of myself.

To be honest, you still can't believe you flirted with your boss at the party. Now you have to take note not to flirt with anyone in a formal event of a company. Someone could be your actual fucking boss.

Not that it would happen again, but well, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Jax hasn't contacted you since you spent the night at his place, but you don't give a damn, anyway. Soon, you'll have the courage to break up with him and you'll be finally free. He's not the same man that he was before, so it was easy to slowly let go of him. He probably thinks you're too hung up on him just because you kept on coming back for him. You scoffed at that. As if you were that dumb to think he'd actually change, and forgive him so that everything would go back to normal. You will never forgive him for what he did to you, even if he kneels before you (which you know he would never do, but still) and begs for you to forgive him. You were numb with the pain he caused you, and the pain of your mother's unexpected and unacceptable death.

Nothing could hurt you anymore.

It'll take a while for you to be in a serious relationship with someone again. Or probably never again. Which was better. You don't want to waste your time on someone, especially a man.

Your thoughts went to the flowers on your table that came from an anonymous person. Whoever they were, they should expect that you weren't looking for a relationship as of the moment. The gesture was sweet, but if they're a creep, then you wouldn't consider letting them in your life.

If they're hot, well...

You shake your head at yourself.

Gojo Satoru made an appearance yet again in your department the following day. He waved at everyone cheerfully, saying 'good morning!' then let everyone turn their backs on him to continue working, and approached your cubicle. He nods at you with a grin on his face, taking off his glasses using his long fingers. "Hello again, Mx. Y/N."

You twisted your mouth, then slowly turned to him, raising an eyebrow. "Mr. Gojo." you say, eyeing him. He didn't seem dangerous nor were their alarms blaring whenever he's near you, so it's safe to say that he's not someone you should be afraid of. He hummed, tapping his fingers on your desk. "How's your morning?"

Seriously? He came all the way down here just to ask how your morning went? You didn't comment on that, and instead played along. "It's fine, sir. The usual." you replied, giving him a fake smile. He noticed that and chuckled, and amused grin plastered on his face.

"That's not what I came here for, if that's what you're wondering." he teased.

You shrugged. "That's great, sir. I would think it's ridiculous of you to ask me only that." once again, he chuckled, showing off his amusement. You blinked at him.
