"I think he likes you."

Your neck almost broke by how fast you snapped your head to your bestfriend. Dash just shrugged like she didn't just comment the most ridiculous thing ever.

Scoffing, you glance down at your screen and read the job ad of a cashier at a restaurant not far away from your house. You've been scrolling down for the past few minutes for a new job while you fill Dash in about the details she missed in your life.

Truthfully, you were still thinking about your last encounter with your boss. He's a stoic man who just... never smiles. His presence alone screams authority, as if looking at his way would cost you so much. He's just too much for you.

His unsmiling face made sense for him to be allergic to cameras and to people in general. How does he talk business with his associates? Or does Mr. Gojo does all the talking?

Behind the facade, you can see how much he cares for his employees. You've doubted him at first, thinking he was just pretending. But as you got to know him more with every encounter, you realize that he doesn't look like the type of man who pretends nor deceives. He's an assertive man, always straight to the point.

Has he ever met an employee of his outside work? Like he did to you?

"You watch too many K-dramas." clicking on another post, you sighed when you saw it was yet another cashier job ad.

Can I just stay at home while I earn money?

Well, technically, with your sugar daddy... you can. Though the thought of it can be pleasing, you will never rely on anyone else no matter what. You just don't have a choice in this matter, so you tried the site that Dash told you.

It has been two days since Nanami Kento graced the walls of the cafe shop you work at. In those two days, you finally had the courage to go to work with sweaty palms. Ash asked how you've been, since the only weak excuse you could give was you unfortunately got fever the night before your absence.

The following day, you stopped in your tracks when you spotted the flowers on your table... again. This time, it was wrapped in a thick white wrapper with a purple ribbon holding it. Lilac carnation. A smile formed your lips as you stare at the gorgeous flowers. The bouquet looks expensive as usual, and you glanced around, thinking that maybe the person who gave this to you wasn't working on the same floor as you.

There wasn't a note on it this time, so you place it back on your table, knowing Ash will squeal once she sees it.

Dash blew raspberry as she gives you a can of coke. "I'm just saying... it's possible that it's the reason why he literally just visited you when he found out you didn't go to work that day." She ordered pizza and pasta tonight since it's been a while since you last talked to her. Your mind's been occupied these past few days, dealing with rich men.

"If you ask me, he kinda sounds a bit clingy." you lazily throw her a look. At this point, she's just being delusional.

She plumped down beside you, taking a peek at your laptop. "See? You're even as affected as him." pointing at your screen for emphasis. You raise an eyebrow at her, "I'm not. What makes you think he's affected?"

She just stared at you like you just asked her the dumbest question. You ignored her, clicking on your keys even though you're not even reading every job ad. You weren't even planning to quit... for now.

"You're just so dumb sometimes, y'know?" she sips on her soda. You can feel her stare burning the side of your head, so you just gave her a side-eye. "And you're being delulu all the time." she gasped dramatically and you just hid your smile, eyes on your screen.
