As you wait for the doors to close, you take a deep breath, and pressed the button to the top floor. You were fidgety, trying to prevent yourself from shaking because you have no idea what's happening right now. What the actual fuck? You cursed in your head for the nth time since you found out that your boss paid your father's debt without letting you know.

Why did he do it? How did he know? Is Sukuna one of his friends?

You hope damn well these questions will be answered by him. As you tap your foot on the floor impatiently, your anxiety increases. You felt confident that you were going to stride towards his office and demand answers from him, yet when the elevator doors opened, you stayed frozen in your spot.

With a deep breath, you stepped out of the elevators, and went straight to the receptionist, who was busy typing. She glanced up when she saw me, and you instantly recognized the woman. She's the same woman who guided you to your boss' office when he offered you the secretary position.

You shivered. Fuck, I forgot about that. You offered her a strained smile, "Hey, um... is the, uh... boss inside?" you cringed at your informality.

She didn't seem bothered by it, just giving you a small smile. Her brown curly hair stopped at her shoulders, neatly combed and styled, like she's always done it that way. She has these big eyes framed with long eyelashes and has heart shaped lips that are to die for.

"Hello, Mx. L/N." she grins, and you swear you saw how perfect her teeth are. "Yes, he's inside. Should I let him know you have an appointment with him?"

"Uh, no, I'm..." her finger stopped mid-air, her big eyes waiting for you to continue. You cleared your throat, "I didn't schedule an appointment with him today, but uh, if he's there..."

Her smile fell, jutting out her lower lip. "Oh, I'm sorry, Mx. L/N. Mr. Nanami is strict with appointments and doesn't like when people wants to meet him without notice. I don't know if he'll let you in, but I can try—"

You waved at her, not wanting to be an inconvenience. "Oh! No, it's fine...  if he's busy, I can just..." you start to slowly back away, and she was about to protest, but the huge glass doors opened, making you both halt.

A guy with black short hair wearing glasses came out, eyeing you both. He wore a suit, but... no offense to him, he didn't look like a higher up. Or maybe I'm just judgmental and this man probably earns tons than me. Since you were facing the doors, you had a glimpse of the cold brown eyes staring behind his huge table. A shiver run down your spine when you met his hard gaze. You stay rooted to the floor, even when the doors finally shut. You heard something beep then heard mumbling coming from the woman earlier. The man that was still standing in front of you smiled a bit before he disappeared through the elevator.

"Mx. L/N?" the woman calls. I need to know her name. You snap your head to her direction, "Yes?"

She flashed you a big grin. "You may enter now. The boss wants to see you."

You opened your mouth to protest, but closed it, and heard a buzz sound, indicating that the doors are ready to be opened. When you pushed the door slightly, you turn to her, "Hey... what's your name?"

She looked surprised and blinked a few times. "Oh! Uh... it's Mina." Her cheeks reddened, making her look like a tomato.

You gave her a grateful smile. "Thank you, Mina. Please call me Y/N." then without hearing her response, you entered the huge office of your precious boss.

He was already watching you when your eyes met his, and you almost gulped at the intensity of it. You approached his desk, appearing confident, but really, your legs are like Jell-O. He didn't move, just watching you behind his desk with his hands clasp together on top of it.
