I've spotted a few honest mistakes that could possibly affect the way you'll read the book:

- I realized I didn't entirely make Y/N a gender neutral character (calling them 'daughter') so I'm gonna change the pronouns to she/her. so sorry for being inconsistent with my writing!

- zoriva has just celebrated its 10th anniversary. i re-read some chapters and I don't know why I wrote 7 or 8 years in Nanami's POV.

- the first time nanami drove y/n home, I forgot to write the detailed scene where Nanami asked Y/N's address inside the car.  clearing this up bc some of u might think Nanami is a stalker or what, but really, he's not. just a missed detail. this isn't a dark romance.

these are all what I've noticed so far when I re-read Sugar. enjoy this chapter! :)

He called you to his office that afternoon. You really thought you could avoid him for the whole day, but who were you kidding? You're literally always going to be at his side. Why bother hide?

You eyed your desk that hasn't been organized yet since you got here before facing the doors of his office. Flattening your palms on your thighs, you released a sigh then entered. Mr. Gojo has just left a while ago, giving you a wink on his way to the office, the left wing. I think I'm getting used to him already.

Suddenly conscious if your pants had a noticeable handprint of your sweaty palms, you clutched your hands together and placed it on your front awkwardly. Fortunately, Nanami didn't look up at your appearance, seeming to be busy with the paper he was reading. While he was scanning through his glasses, you took your time to check him out.

It's an understatement that he was born to do this. You couldn't imagine him doing anything else except picture him always in the exact scenario he's in now. His stoic face, aura, voice... it always screamed authority everywhere he goes. He was made for this, to lead, to manage, and to decide. As you stare at his profile, you couldn't help but think if he's happy with the way he is right now. Building something from nothing requires a huge amount of courage, and it's impressive how Zoriva's state right now came from his hard work.

However, you've read somewhere that rich men are often the people who get lonely for lifetime. Despite having everything, they feel empty. Does he feel the same way?

He caught your gaze, peeking from his eyewear. You couldn't deny that the glasses look so good on him. Seeing how rare it is to see him with it, you can't help but stare. You swallow the disappointment when he took it off and placed it on the desk. He motioned for you to sit, just behind the floor to ceiling windows of his workspace. The lighting hitting his face perfectly highlighted the defined structures of his face.

"What are the upcoming meetings I'll be expecting this week?"

You blinked at his question. His face was passive, and that made you more nervous. You parted your lips, not missing how his eyes glanced at it quickly before meeting your gaze. Feeling like an idiot, you sputter what you remember writing on your planner a while ago.

"Um... you will have a meeting with Mr. Anderson tomorrow at 2pm, then... um, Mrs. Levinson invited you to a charity event for disabled kids, and—"

"Ms. Y/N," he cut you off, politely raising his hand. You snapped your mouth shut, and you know damn well you're screwing up on your first day.

He must've seen the look on your face, gaze softening at you. "Do you have a planner with you? Digital and physical?" He seems pleased when you nod and answered that Ijichi asked you to have both. "Good. That'll be easier to track your tasks, especially the deadlines and urgent ones."
