Chapter 7: Bond

STILES POV:

I walk to him. As he grabs a book. "So now it's the silent treatment for what exactly? For me hosting the pack meeting? Me taking charge."

"The fact you went behind my back and had one is what. I'm fine with you leading or co leading or what the fuck ever but it's the fact you went behind my back especially while I was sleeping... Now I'm staying awake." He mutters. He is angry. His emotions are mixed because of Boyd and he is taking it out on me. Fine I rather he take it out on me than the pack. Those are the kids and his family and I will not let him hurt our kids.

"Well I'm sorry." I say walking to the living room sitting next to Scott and Theo.

Tears in my eyes and I hold them back.

Before Theo starts whispering to me. "Why let him talk to you like that?"

I stay silent.

"That isn't ok."

I stay silent again

"Stiles it's really not."

"We are both upset." I whisper looking down at nothing zoning out as I'm curled up into Theo now.

Scott rubs my shoulder Derek just watches and I know he feels guilty, but also jealous. He doesn't like Theo. Not one bit.

DEREKS POV:

I shouldn't have lashed out on him. I feel guilty enough but when theo puts his arm around him. I feel heart broken. It's a protective thing. I put the bite scar on his neck the first time we fucked. It's a claim and it's to let other wolves know. That he belongs to his mate. Finding a mate is rare especially for alphas. It's an alpha claim and if that claim breaks. One of us dies. An alpha and his mate love each other more than imaginable. it's nearly impossible to break the strong connection. Especially if they fight they eventually get past it together. That's thing me being a wolf I'm territorial enough, and Theo the boy who has a crush on my mate. That he is touching I'm hurt. It physically hurts me.

I feel sick but I hold down the feeling. I look at mom and she glares at Stiles. I shake my head walking out. Kaeden glares at stiles as well because he turns around when he heard the door close.

STILES POV:

I was in the wrong for doing that behind his back. But I don't care he wouldn't walk out over that. Something is wrong.

I look around to see Kaeden and talia glaring at me. Peter just watches me carefully. The rest of pack talking to loud. "What just happened." I whisper

"You hurt my s-" Talia whispers

"Talia enough." Peter whispers stepping in "it's complicated Stiles but you did just hurt Derek."

Tears fill my eyes I don't understand "H-how?" I whisper

"That bite in your neck is a claim it happens the first time you two have sex... that bite is a promise and Derek being territorial and seeing you cuddle into theo it broke the promise."

"W-what how do I remake the promise."

"Well it's not broken yet... but he ran. He went off... there are hunters out there you can't go... but if we don't get one of you back to each other in time he is gonna die."

"W-what... I'm going out there... what do you mean die?"

"Well usually after an alpha finds their mate. That is their purpose. The alphas entire job is to love his mate support and provide. Without you... to him there is none of that. His body will start killing him. Especially it's Derek stiles. You make him happy and taught him stuff that took him time to relearn. You guys are inseparable. But without you what would make him happy?"

Tears fill my eyes and I quickly get off the couch running out. Cora and Scott coming with me. We just keep running. Until I catch his scent. I go to the look out point and look around "where is he? Where is he? Where is he?" I repeat over and over out loud frustrated and scared

"DEREK WHERE ARE YOU!?" I scream as tears run down my face

I then hear a whimper of pain a yelp. I run towards the sound them following.

I see hunters standing over a black wolf that's laying on it side with an arrow in it. Tears fill my eyes I look at them "why are you doing this"

"There more!" The hunter yells and I put my hands up

"We aren't wolves!" I yell it's a partial lie. I'm not.

"Right and I'm the boogy man."

He readies his bow but I put my hands up more

"I can prove it!"

"How."

"Break off an arrow head I'm assuming whatever your using will only hurt wolves right... I'll show you we aren't any."

He does as told and I face him grabbing the arrow head digging it in my arm. He watches my arm as it doesn't turn black. I stand in front of both them secretly using my nail. You shot an actual wolf from our vet Deatons you can't say it's a monster because it had black fur. You have no proof. If your looking for monsters your in the wrong spot you got to go briarcliff.

He nods and walks off Scott carries Derek to Deatons . There Deaton starts working on a cure and stitching him up. Scott dropped off clothes but I just sit in the waiting room. I touch my neck. I feel the scar but it doesn't feel right I go to the bathroom to see some of the scar gone. It's fading and the bond is breaking and tears run down my face.

Deaton walks out. I quickly stand up. "How is he?"

"Stable for not but your bond is breaking isn't it."

"I didn't mean for it to happen he got jealous of a friend and left."

"I suggest you go stay with him. He will be able to tell your here."

I nod gently walking into the medical room to see Derek's lower half covered with a sheet. He lays pale and cold but shallowly breathing on the table with cold sweats asleep.
