"You could kill them instead?"

The three boys looked at Peter dumbfounded, as he flicked through his muggle magazine. He looked up at them when they didn't answer, looking at them with a wrinkled nose.

"I'm kidding."

Sirius looked at him for a moment longer before bursting out with laughter, clutching their stomach as they hunched over.

"Damn Wormy, this girl really has made you more confident."

Peter sent an alarmed look towards James, who cringed as he realised what Sirius revealed. "You told them?"

"Sorry Wormtail, didn't know you wanted to keep it a secret." James says with a sheepish grin, as Peter just groans into his magazine.

"And who is this lovely girl I've heard so much about?" Remus muses which makes Peter blush more so than he was already.

"No one, let's just focus on Halloween for now, we can worry about Snape, and uh- no one, later." Peter stammers out, and the other three don't argue with him. It was a Saturday morning, and James had decided there was no practice for that day, since everyone was going to Hogsmeade. It had been a few days, and the group was no closer to figuring out what to do to stop Snape from his plan, and it was evidently laying heavy on Remus' shoulders much to the panic of Sirius. Their best solution was to make sure that Lily, Mary and Remus were always with a couple of people, until they could stop him without getting them into any trouble. Regulus had no more information to say about it, Snape only seemed to make plans with Mulciber, and none of Regulus' friends.

"What about a party?"

"S'on a weekday, probably not the best idea."

"We can hold a small gathering, some friends and play like a spooky spin the bottle type of truth or dare." Peter countered, flicking his magazine absently. Sirius looks at him with a curious and almost awed expression.

"Damn Pete, I almost like that idea." Peter just rolled his eyes making James snicker. Indeed, Peter normally liked to stay in and not do, well anything. So James was pleasantly surprised when he started spurting out ideas on what to do for halloween, things even Sirius hadn't thought of. It was a good idea, even if Sirius didn't want to admit it. It was simple enough that Lily would not object much to, and still fun enough that Sirius would be happy with. They could even throw some twists in it to make it fit for halloween.

"I like it, it will be a good Halloween ending." Remus shrugs, as he looks over his books in an attempt to study.

"I don't like it, it's too boring, too plain for our last halloween." Sirius grumbles, making Peter pout.

"Oh c'mon Padfoot, it's not like it is our last ever halloween, and besides, isn't it better to spend it with closer friends instead of people we barely know?"

"It's our last halloween at Hogwarts, of course I want it to be good."

Remus throws a sharp glance at Sirius, then looks over at Peter, who even though was attempting to hide it ,was rather down. Sirius' eyes immediately softened as they took in their friend, before going to sit next to him.

"Sorry Wormtail, I do like your idea. I'm mainly just messing. But you know I prefer my extravagant parties rather than small gatherings."

The boy's face lit up at the effort Sirius was putting in, as he nodded and murmured it was okay. James always knew that Peter looked up to Sirius the most, probably because he wanted to be like them. It was cute, although Sirius liked to tease him a lot about it.
