Chapter 4 Carly and the egg

One morning while the wolf guard was on patrol Carly was making sure that everything was okay in the clearing.

Carly: All quiet in the clearing Nicole!

Nicole: Thanks Carly. Let's check out Hakuna Matata falls. Then we can head to...

Before Nicole could finish they heard some rumbling.

Nicole: You guys hear that?

Ryan: It sounds like a stampede?

Carly: Everyone! It's a stampede alright. A stampede of chipmunks!

Jacob: Aww! It's a stampede of cuteness!

Nicole: I wonder what's got them so upset.

Carly: (sees a falcon) That's what! It's a falcon! And it looks like she's hunting those chipmunks!

Nicole: She can't hunt here. This isn't falcon territory.

Ryan: Yeah. But does she know that?

The falcon dives down and picks up one of the chipmunks.

Carly: I got this!

Carly flies off after the falcon.

Nicole: Wolf guard, let's go!

Meanwhile in a different part of the forest.

Mia: You just wait my little itsy-bitstboo! This will be the best nest in the whole...

Before she could finish the falcon flew past her.

Mia: A falcon? Here in the forest?

Then Carly flew by her.

Mia: That was Carly of the wolf guard! Did you see her? No, I guess you didn't. Go, Carly, go!

Izzy: I am so excited to eat you! I've never had chipmunks before!

Carly: Hey you! Falcon! Put down that chipmunk!

Izzy: Sorry young dragon! This chipmunk is my small bite. Not enough to share!

Carly: I don't wanna share it. I wanna save it!

Carly pulled out one of Izzy's tail feathers.

Izzy: Ow! That hurt! Why'd you do that?

Carly: So you'd stop looking where you're going.

Izzy: Stop looking where I'm...

Before Izzy could finish she bumped into a rock cliffside which made her drop the chipmunk.

Carly: I'm coming little chipmunk!

Carly dived down and caught the chipmunk.

Carly: Gotcha!

Carly tries to fly up but can't due to the weight of the chipmunk.

Carly: You're heavier than you look!

Jacob: It's okay Carly! You can let him go. I'll catch him!

Carly: Oh, good.

Carly drops the chipmunk and Jacob catches it on his back. Then Carly lands on Jacob's back.

Carly: Thanks Jacob.
