Chapter 26 Jacob & the Snow Leopard

One day some lynxes were running to the wateringhole when John stopped them.

John: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold it lynxes! It's the bears turn to use the wateringhole!

Adam: This is an outrage! We just want a drink of water!

John: You'll get one. You just need to wait your turn.

Carly: Indeed. Sharing water is part of the circle of life.

Adam: But bears are so slow!

Ryan: Everyone gets on edge when the water's running low.

Nicole: It'll be okay. As long as we can keep them from fighting over it.

Jacob: Well, it's been pretty peaceful so far.

Then they heard a snow leopard's yowl.

Ryan: What is that?

Roger: Me, Roger!

John: Think he's trying to cut the line?

The bears and lynxes run away.

Nicole: Jacob! Carly! Get the bears and lynxes somewhere safe!

Jacob: You got it Nicole!

Carly: Affirmative!

Nicole: We've gotta stop that snow leopard.

Ryan: You sure about that?

John: Thought you'd never ask.

Nicole runs up to the snow leopard that just broke one rock and threw another one with Ryan and John close behind.

Nicole: Stop tearing up the forest!

John: Yeah! Or you'll have to deal with the wolf guard!

Roger: Wolf guard? Okay.

Roger sat down.

John: You asked for it!

John started to attack him but it actually felt good to Roger.

Roger: Back rub good. Higher?

John: Yeah, okay!

John continued to attack.

Nicole: John, you can stop. Roger seems friendly.

John: He does? Then my work here is done.

Ryan: So you're not here to make trouble?

Roger: No! Roger help wolf guard. Roger save water from brown fur and spots.

Nicole: Save? Roger, I think you misunderstood.

Then Jacob and Carly come back.

Carly: Nicole! The bears and lynxes are safe and sound.

Jacob: We haven't met, have we?

Roger: Roger new. Sent by alpha Dane!

Carly: The snow leopard alpha of the theluji mountains? That alpha Dane?
