One day Jacob went to fresh springs to make sure that all of the gray wolves were okay.

Jacob: Everything okay dad?

Leo: So far. But with all the recent attacks from the mountain animals, any unexpected sight or sound has us spooked.

Then he heard some of the water bubbling.

Leo: Everyone out of the water! Now!

Jacob jumps into the water and swam over to where the bubbles are to see what was going on while the other gray wolves got out of the water.

Leo: Jacob? Jacob?

Jacob came up to the surface of the water with a gray wolf pup on his back.

Jacob: It's okay dad. It's just little Annie.

The other gray wolves sighed in relief.

Then the wolf guard showed up.

Nicole: Leo? Jacob? Everything okay?

Leo: (turns to the wolf guard) Sorry wolf guard. That was my fault. There's no real danger.

Nicole: Oh, that's okay. Everyone in the forest has been on edge.

Then there was rustling in the grass.

Nicole: Wolf guard. Something's in the grass.

Then Jason and Rocky come out of the grass.

John: Uncle Rocky? Uncle Jason?

Jason: Oh, hey kids. What are you doing here?

Rocky: Jason, no time for chitchat. We're on the trail of a slugfest, remember?

Jason: Oh, right. Later kids.

Then they leave and Kira comes running up to them.

Kira: Wolf guard! Wolf guard!

Nicole: Kira? What's wrong?

Kira: Wrong? Why would anything be wrong?

Ryan: It's gonna be one of those days.

Kira: I just wanted to invite you all to my mpando mpya.

John: Empanda-what?

Carly: Mpando mpya. It's the planting of a new baobab tree in Mizimu Grove.

Kira: Yes. Every baobab tree in Mizimu Grove was planted by a royal mjuzi while they were in training. And tonight I get to plant mine.

Jacob: Cool.

Ryan: Congratulations Kira.

Carly: Indeed. An mpando mpya dosen't happen very often.

Leo: (as he walked up to the wolf guard) Sure dosen't. I remember my dad telling me about Brent's.

Kira: Ooh, Leo, you and your pack are welcome to come too.

Leo: We'd love to. I'm sure it would lift the whole pack's spirits.

Nicole: Actually, it sounds like a chance to lift everyone's spirits.
