chapter six- evening

Ashes/pov

My dad slammed his tea on the table everyone looked him dead in the eyes luckily the mug didn't break my sister hid her head in her palms while my dad sighed

'look jennie I'm not mad at you'

Jennie looked up at my dad who was smiling at her my dad then added

'I know you're interested darling but unfortunately I still haven't found him'

My sister nodded and mumbled quietly

'that's alright I understand you're busy with other stuff at work'

Suddenly My mom added

'besides sweetie I don't like that spider guy whatever his name is he's a waste of the police's time and I feel like he's stalking everyone because you know how he watchers over the city he basically spies on everyone which is a bit rude in my opinion'

Everyone at the table except me smiled gleefully everyone in my family didn't support spiderman they thought he was either a stalker or a waste of the police's time it's kind of stupid because they didn't know him behind the mask but I'd had enough so I mumbled

'but what if he's not a waste of the police's time he's probably there to help them out with the shops and banks being robbed'

Everyone at the table now had there eyes on me my mom leaned over to my shoulder and stared angrily in my eyes she shouted

'WHY DON'T YOU FUCKING AGREE WITH US YOU KNOW HE'S BAD NEWS JUST GO TO YOUR ROOM I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING YOU'VE HAD A SHIT ATTITUDE ALL DAY AND I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF IT'

I got up from my chair and left the room without staying another word to them once I was in my room I switched on my light I noticed it was already dark out so I got changed I didn't feel tired so I went out onto my balcony and sat down on a hanging egg chair it wasn't cold out so I popped in my earphones to listen to music

After an hour or two my body and myself was starting to feel tired I quickly took my earphones out and carried them with me once I entered my room again I shut the door immediately I walked slowly over to my light switch and turned it off before I got into my comfy bed to sleep but before I slept I whispered quietly to myself

'what a day I wish it's not going to be so chaotic like it was today'

My eyes were starting to feel heavy and my body felt stiff so I snuggled down into the soft sheets of my bed and shut my eyes and fell asleep
