chapter fourteen- the day

Ashes/pov

I woke up the next morning feeling like crap today was the day of the party I didn't feel any bit of excitement take over my body I slowly got out my comfy bed and stumbled my tired feet downstairs

Once I was downstairs all the drama started to unpack everything was just like dynamite that just exploded in the house my siblings were racing around the house while my parents on the other hand were screaming at each other my mom shouted

'HAS YOUR SUIT BEEN WASHED ROB'

My dad yelled back

'OF COURSE IT'S BEEN WASHED I WASHED IT A FEW DAYS AGO'

I ignored all the drama around the house I headed straight to the kitchen to make breakfast after I made breakfast I quickly went to the living room to sit down I ate my toast in rush before I raced back up the stairs all I wanted was the panicking to stop I wasn't ready for this I felt like today was going to be the worst day of my life I wished I could sleep through the whole day so I could pass it and not remember it

A load of hours had passed it was already late afternoon for most of the day I was sitting in my room stressing over the party all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and do nothing I felt so stressed out I had a feeling going through my head that I was going to ruin the party entirely and my family would say I've ruined the family reputation suddenly I heard Jennie call up

'ash mom said we're heading to the place where the party is going to be in two hours you better hurry up and get ready'

I immediately leapt from my bed and started panicking to get ready I quickly hopped in the shower then after my shower I scrambled to put the dress on did my hair and makeup then finally put my fancy shoes on and raced downstairs to see my parents and siblings prepared my mom was putting the last few touches of makeup on then announced

'is everyone ready to go because I'm not turning the car around if you've forgotten anything'

She proceeded out the door and walked gracefully to the car while me and the others followed her she managed to fit her expensive dress in the white mercedes we then got in the car after her my mom grumbled while starting up the engine

'right remember everyone if you ruin the family's reputation you're dead'

I heard the wheels screech loudly as the car started speeding to the destination all I did was pray that my stress would go away I started breathing heavily I was shaking my leg lightly which caused the car to shake my dad asked while we were at a red light

'who's breathing loudly and shaking the car do you want us to have a car crash'

I stammered

'it's me d-dad please don't be m-mad at me I'm s-stressed I-I don't want to go to the party you know I'll mess up like you always say'

My siblings were staring at me while my mom was still concentrating on the busy road my mom screeched

'I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE STRESSED YOU'RE GOING TO THE PARTY AND THAT'S THAT STOP OVERREACTING YOU'LL BE FINE'

I wanted to bail out the car but unfortunately I couldn't or I'd be in even more trouble I complained innocently

'but mom I'll'

My mom quickly butted in shrieking wildly

'SILENCE IF I HEAR ANOTHER BLOODY WORD FROM YOU WE'RE THROWING YOU OUT THE CAR AND YOU'LL WALK THE REST OF THE WAY DO YOU UNDERSTAND YOUNG LADY'

I didn't dare to say another word to my mom I couldn't bare being chucked out the car and having to walk the rest of the way to the party in such a cold night but I knew when we'd all arive my nightmare would begin straight away

Twenty minutes later all of us arrived at the party my mom carefully parked the car once it stopped my dad was the first to get out he quickly opened the door for my mom she got out perfectly then me and my siblings slowly opened our car doors and carefully got out my mom explained excitedly

'ok everyone follow me I already know where party is being held so don't wonder off without me'

We all followed her everyone apart from me looked so excited I mainly liked going to parties with friends but not with my parents my parents would say every year I messed it up and they'd ground me for a week for screwing it up my mom immediately stopped in front of a bright building she squealed

'we're here now all we've got to do is wait patiently for the rest of the family to arrive'
