chapter twenty- the new villain

Ashes/pov

I quickly opened my eyes to see spiderman hanging upside down from the ceiling as the lights flickered continuously the villain was frozen as he still had his disgusting slimey hands gripped tightly onto my leg I stared worriedly at spiderman with pure horror in my innocent face as he snapped

'let her go'

The monster added in a creepy mocking voice

'or what you'll trap me in a prison cell'

As spiderman shot a web to trap the fierce beast I used the last of my strength to forcefully free my leg I fell roughly onto the floor as I rushed over to delilah she didn't say anything as the commotion was building up after a few minutes of drama the beast made its dramatic escape he got back onto the oscorp glider and snarled wickedly

'I'll come back and fight again spiderman the green goblin always comes back'

me and delilah stood there in silence for a moment so this green goblin was the new villain in the city just as spiderman was about to leave he came up to both me and delilah he panted while asking us

'are you two ok'

Delilah quickly nodded her head but I on the other hand responded with

'yeah both of us are fine but we're worried Peter didn't make it out of here when the green goblin attacked'

spiderman explained slowly

'don't worry I checked to see if everyone was outside and thankfully peter is safe he should be outside with everyone else anyways I have to go see you around'

He then just left us in the abandoned dark building me and Delilah shrugged it off as we left empty building once we entered outside harry and peter came running up to both of us they were panting heavily as harry shouted among all the loud murmuring

'are you two alright'

I nodded looking at Delilah for a second before looking back at harry I whispered loudly

'yeah we're both fine'

An hour or two later we had to go home due to the damage the green goblin had created as I sat on the balcony I was thinking back to the moments that happened the green goblins sentence was repeating itself in my head on the other hand I was still thinking why Peter disappeared was he spiderman or was it someone else I was desperate to find out he had been acting really suspicious I was going to have to talk to him

I rushed back inside my room to grab my things I then raced downstairs to slide my feet into my White shiny sneakers as I was about to leave the house my mom suddenly ran over and blocked the front door she stared into my eyes for a second before dramatically saying

'and where do you think you're sneaking off to'

I quickly explained while putting my light bag over my shoulder

'I'm studying with Delilah tonight we have a science project coming up and'

My mom distracted my sentence by yelling

'YEAH YEAH JUST GET OUT THE HOUSE BUT REMEMBER WE NEED YOU BACK AT FIVE BECAUSE I'LL BE MAKING DINNER'

She pushed me forcefully out the house and slammed the door behind me

Once I arrived at Peter's house I headed my way over to the front door and knocked on it lightly suddenly I heard someone yell

'I'm just coming wait a second'

Aunt may opened the door seeing me stand there smiling brightly she exclaimed happily

'hey ash I could use some company I haven't seen you in a while come in come in make yourself at home love'

I stumbled into the house as aunt may slowly closed the door I headed myself over to the kitchen table and took a seat aunt may then sat down next to me and asked politely

'so what are you doing here ash is somthing wrong'

I explained

'well I wanted to know why Peter is disappearing so much it's worrying me'

Aunt may sipped her tea quickly and responded with

'same here ash he's always coming back incredibly late everyday I can always see a new cut or bruise on him I don't know what's gotten into him lately he's got to tell me it happened ever since that day you went to oscorp with him he came back acting so weird'

I mumbled sympathetically

'I know how you feel It must be difficult without uncle Ben and Peter always out all the time maybe somedays after school I'll help you out'

Aunt may stood up to hug me tightly she had tears in her eyes she sniffed while crying

'thank you so much I'd love that your so responsible and it's good that I'll have some company'

I smiled joyfully at her before checking my watch it was 4:30 I quickly grabbed my bag from beside the chair I commented

'I have to head off now take it easy see you tomorrow'

Aunt may added

'ok see you tomorrow darling'

As I saw the door to my house I raced up to it and pushed it open before closing it my feet were hurting but I didn't care I put my shoes in any old place the same with my bag I rushed myself to the living room I quickly sat down on the couch while panting my heart was racing my feet aching from the running suddenly I heard Jennie's voice

'oh your home now your late where were you'
