Two months since the incident took place in the red-light district. Hayami had to watch as the three young demon slayers lay on the beds in the butterfly estate. It seems that those three have occupied the very same beds, very often due to the multiple times they get injured.
Zenitsu had woken up just a day after getting brought back to the estate, Tanjiro and Inosuke were both in a far more critical condition.
Hayami felt bad that she was not able to help treat them due to the missions she had, slaying minor demons here and there. But Kibutsuji Muzan's location was still unknown.
Ever since the red-light district mission, the board of hashiras under Ubuyashiki Kagaya has pondered on further training for fellow demon slayers in order to locate the demon king himself. Hayami always wondered just how he looked, she had never picked up a strong demon scent unlike what Tanjiro had done before, she could have possibly walked past Kibutsuji Muzan and she wouldn't have known.
The peace hashira had never seen Kanao sit by someone's side as often as she did with Tanjiro the past two months. Even Shinobu pondered why she did it. Perhaps during his frequent stay at the butterfly estate, Kanao had made a friend.
Much to her surprise, Hayami read the letters Haganezuka sent throughout the few weeks when Tanjiro passed out. They were ━ quite the notes. All the papers were filled with curses toward the young boy and multiple threats. She would not lie that she found them quite amusing, although she was concerned at the same time.

A loud commotion can be heard from inside the room where Tanjiro rested. Hayami knew that the young teenagers were quite the talkative group, but she heard a quite unfamiliar voice yell out.
"TANJIRO FELL ASLEEP SO BE QUIET!!"
As she peaked her head into the room, she was shocked to see that Kanao was the one who had yelled. Which is very unlike her as she is quite a reserved person.
Hayami turned her head to look at Tanjiro who seemed to be laying down with his eyes closed peacefully
"AH!! HE'S BACK IN A COMA!!" Aoi yelled out as she frowned at the sight, her eyes were puffy as if she had just cried.
"DON'T JINX IT!" Inosuke yelled back.
It was a surprise that Inosuke was moving, when he arrived two months ago Hayami had to witness Aoi cry in frustration seeing the boy injured. Which is a first since the last time the peace hashira saw the girl cry was when she passed the final selection, scared.
Eventually, Tanjiro fully recovered from his injuries. Hayami had no idea if she should praise him for having such a strong physical ability, or to praise Shinobu for her medical skills. However, the young boy was quite surprised as he read the letters Hayami had caught a glimpse of. She could see beads of nervous sweat break out on his forehead.
