"Why on earth is time passing by ever so slowly" were the thoughts running through Hayami's mind as she stood her ground alongside her fellow hashiras.

Kibutsuji Muzan's attacks just kept on getting faster, and harder to predict.

The peace hashira would say it was pure luck. The fact that she is even dodging the attacks was a miracle. Hayami tried multiple times to inflict any form of damage on the demon king, and yet the long multiple whips kept preventing the tip of her nichirin sword from even touching a hair of Muzan himself.

She felt the tight grip that she had on her weapon this whole time, loosen. Hayami was tired. That tiresome feeling was replaced with a gasp of surprise, as she felt the long whips slashing against the wound on her abdomen and her crushed arm. The frost from her encounter with the upper moon two still hadn't melted away, causing her to fall down to her knees as she yelled out a cruciating cry from her pain.

Hayami can feel her entire body shaking from the pain, she felt as if she was finally at her limit. But she was still alive, whether she liked it or not.

Just as she trembly used her nichirin sword to push her body up, another body collided with her own. Causing her body to crash into the wall of a nearby building. Hayami looked to her side only to see Mitsuri lying right next to her, very much injured as blood started to drip down the side of her head.

"HAYAMI????" Mitsuri yelled out as she glanced up slightly seeing the state of the elder female.

The ginger-brown-haired girl in question stared at the younger girl, before turning her head down to look at her left arm. Her own eyes widen in shock as she saw her arm, detached from her body. Her breathing started to be inconsistent as she exhaled in shock. The blood from the flesh started pouring down. Hayami wobbled back a few times before she fell to the wooden floorboards. She quickly inserted the handle of her blade between her teeth as she undid her belt. With her remaining right arm, she wrapped the white belt around the remains of what should be her left arm, and after gripping her nichirin sword in her right hand once more, she tightened the large wound shut with the help of her teeth ━ somewhat stopping the blood slightly.

The ginger-brown-haired hashira watched as Obanai ran towards them, calling the nearby kakushi.

"Get them to first aid. Now!" He ordered.

Everything seemed to happen ever so quickly, the cries of Mitsuri's pleading voice echoed in the background, but Hayami sat completely still. Her mind finally snapped into reality as all the pain started kicking in.

"Hurry and wrap what's left of my left arm. . . And get some long bandages for this" Hayami ordered as she gestured towards the large slash in her abdomen, the fabric from her semi-sheathe did little to nothing now as it was ripped apart from the whips earlier.
