A Soft Spot: Kidd x OC

Lily was a shy, pure, and innocent girl who didn't know much about the wrongs and dangers of the world. No, she didn't have a perfect life, but she didn't complain, and she saw the good in everyone. Normally those kinds of girls pissed Kidd off because half the time, they were faking everything and weren't innocent or pure. But he could tell by a mile away that she wasn't faking it. She was seen feeding the kids on the streets and giving them hugs before getting up and carrying a bunch of flowers, handing them to the elderly, kids, and even young lovers. But once The Kid Pirates, they made way and whispered. The only person who paid no mind to them was Lily.

"Psst Lily, just get over for a moment." One of the villagers whispered. She blinked and looked at the pirates and saw that they were now standing by her looking down. She tilted her head to the side, which caused Eustass's eye to twitch. She looked down at her hands, beamed at the pirates, and offered him a Yellow Acacia, which meant a Value of True Friendship.
"Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay here." The villagers' sweatdrop they knew how innocent she was, but they thought she would have enough sense to know they were bad people.

"Lily, please, they are pirates."

"So? They are still humans with blood running through their veins like you and me." She said, blinking at everyone looking at her gawking.

"Hey, Captain, the flower looks cute in your hand..." One of them said, and he tossed his crew a glare, who was snickering.

"Listen, girl, just get out of my way." He pushed past her, and she pouted after he stepped on the flower she had given him. A guy noticed the pout, and he picked up once the captain passed by and gave the girl a look even though she couldn't tell what kind of look due to the blue and white mask. She scratched her head but shrugged, smiled, and finished giving out the flowers.

Eustass walked into a pub, sat down ordering sake, and almost choked when he saw the flower.

"Killer, why did you get the flower."

"Because I saw the look she gave, and I know you wouldn't want to break the poor girl." Kidd blinked.

"Why does she have an aura like that? It makes me wanna...." He shook his head, and Killer smirked.

"You like her."

"Like hell I do."

"You do."

"She is too innocent."

"She should join our crew?"

"As if don't say things like I am the captain." Kidd raised his voice, and Killer smirked through his mask.

"Do you gentleman need anything else?" Kidd blinked at the gentle voice and looked at her, and she smiled warmly.

"Another beer." He grumbled.

"Okay, is that it?" Everyone nodded, and she went behind the counter, pouring the beer into a mug before bringing it back to Kidd. As she was walking back to him, a couple of guys were flirting with her. This caused Kidd's eye to twitch for the umpteenth time that day.

"Hey, pretty lady, wanna come home with me later."

"Uhm, no, thank you."

"Oh, come on, you can help me."

"Help you? You are going to need help with your house?" Kidd and several of The Kidd Pirates face planted the table.

"Exactly, my little angel."

"Oh then o~."

"Keep on dreaming she is not going home with you. She may not know what you mean, but we do." Kidd said, grabbing the guy's collar shirt. Lily's eyes widened as the guy was about to get punched, but she dropped the beer and grabbed his hand.

"P-Please, no fighting in here, mister." She looked at him, and he looked deep into her brown eyes. "Tsk, whatever." He walked back to his seat, and the guy flirting with her ran out with several of the other drunks. She rubbed her neck, got another beer, and came back to Kidd.

"You need to be more careful," Killer said to the brunette girl. She nodded, still not understanding.

"Uhm, okay, but why get upset?"

"He was gonna take advantage of you." Heat said.

"Take advantage?"

"Nothing," Kidd said, and she blinked, more confused, but she went back to cleaning up the mess she made before cleaning the tables.

"Join my crew."

"Huh?" She turned to the captain.

"Join my crew."

"But won't I just be in the way?"

"And why is that?"

"I have no experience in fighting or anything; I would be useless."

"Well, we do need someone that's not as hot-headed as our captain." One of the pirates said.

"Yeah."

"I don't know if my village would approve." She shifted, and Kidd looked at all the crew, and they left. He went to her, and he grinned a wicked grin.

"Well, if you are worried about that, I can't help since I am a pirate."

"Huh?" He only grinned and picked her up and ran out of the bar, and villagers started to scream and freak out.

"They are kidnapping Lily! Stop them."

"Oh my god. H-Hey.... put me down."

"Not until we get to the ship. Once they reached the ship, the crew was already there. Kidd kept hold of her, and they shipped out. Lily was completely confused about everything.

"Uhm, guys... I don't know who you are."

"I am Kidd, the captain."

"Killer."

"Heat." Everyone started to introduce them.

"We already know your name, so no need to introduce yourself." Killer said, and Kidd set her down.

"What if I didn't want to become part of your crew?"

"Don't worry, we won't taint you, but you are the only person that can keep Kidd calm."

She blushed gently before nodding slightly, smiling gently. Kidd looked at her before looking away, a small blush on his cheeks.

"I think he likes you, Lily."

"Uhm... I like him too." Everyone started to choke.

"I like everyone here."

"....." They sighed.

"Welcome to the crew Lily," Kidd said, wrapping an arm around you, leading you away from the crew before he killed them.

"Why did everyone think you were so mean? You don't seem mean. Then again, everyone has a good heart."

"Don't misunderstand. I am far from having a good heart. I just seem to have a soft spot for you."

"Well, I am happy then."
