Date Night: Ace x Reader

You and Ace have been dating for four months now, and he was always showing you off to the crew. You couldn't help but laugh the majority of the time because some of the men on the Moby Dick would roll their eyes because they had tried to pursue you before him.

You were currently reading a book, underneath the son. You guys haven't seen any land in about a month, and most people were wishing there was land. Especially certain freckled face man that you loved. Ace had his reasons why he wanted to land, and that was because he wanted to take you on a date night.

Ace plopped down in the kitchen with his head in his hands, Thatch turned back to look at his brother raising an eyebrow. It was rare to see Ace down like he was, so he wondered why Ace was so down now.

"Ace what's up?" Thatch asked looking at him, Ace sighed softly before explaining why he was so depressed.

"Well, we haven't seen any land. Since we haven't seen any land I can't take (Y/N) out for a date night. I know she doesn't mind, but I want her to feel more special than she already does.

"Well, I may be able to help." Thatch said. Ace looked up his eyes sparkling slightly, and he jumped up.

"HOW!?" Ace bounced up and down, and Thatch laughed. He whispered in Ace's ear, and Ace bounced up and down excited.

"YES! THANK YOU!"

"Just tell her to be ready." Thatch said making your favorite dinner, Ace ran out looking for you. He found you leaning against the ship in the back.

"Firefly..." Ace called out to you, you blinked hearing your nickname, and you looked up.

"What's up?"

"Be ready by 8:00."

"Eh? Why?"

"Don't ask just be ready." Ace said leaning down and pecking your lips. You closed your book before nodding your head.

"Okay, well I guess I should go shower then." You say as you looked at your watch to see it was already 6:00." Ace nodded, heading back to Thatch, you were confused but you simply shrugged it off before going to your bedroom. You grabbed your shower stuff before going into the washroom and taking a shower. You used Ace's favorite scent since he loved it when you wore it. Once you were done you dried off and put your bathrobe on before making your way to your room. You closed your door before looking through your closet, and you sighed gently.

"Hmm what to wear? What is he even planning?" You asked yourself placing a hand on your hip, you moved clothes back and forth before choosing a pair of jeans, and an (f/c) blouse. Once you were done getting dressed, you style your hair before sitting on your bed. After a few more minutes Ace knocked on your door, you got up and opened it.

You saw Ace with a wide smile on his face, this made you smile before hugging him. You both shared several kisses before he took your hand leading you to the part of the ship where it was empty. You looked around and saw it was decorated with lights, a small table in the middle with two chairs. A candle in the middle of the table and dinner for two. You blinked looking up at your boyfriend and placed another kiss on your lips.

"Date night, just us." He whispered, your smile spread on your face.

"Oh geez, you didn't have to do this."

"I wanted to, and Thatch helped me." He said, you shook your head when he pulled a chair out for you. You sat down, and he sat in front of you holding your hand.

"What am I going to do with you?" You asked, and he smiled softly.

"I just need you to love me."

"I already do, a lot dork." You laugh and he pinched your cheek. You laughed slapping his hand gently. This was something normal, and it wouldn't be you two if you didn't tease each other.
