Deadly Secrets: Shanks x OC

"Hey, wait. Star! What do you mean you can't talk about your past?" The overly hyper captain asked as the crew stopped and looked at him, then at the only female on board.

"It's exactly what I said. I don't want to talk about it either. Can't you be like everyone else and accept my point of view?" She exclaimed.

"But Star, we almost got blown to bits because they claimed..." He trailed off as she shot him a glare.

"You are right. Maybe I should leave. It's too dangerous for me to be with you guys." She said, stomping to her room packing her stuff.

"At the next Island, you won't have to worry about me." She said she just allowed enough for them to hear. Shank's mouth dropped open. He didn't mean it that way, and he certainly didn't want you off this ship.

"Wait, Star, I didn't mean it that way. Hey, let's talk about this for a moment." He said through the door. But he was met with silence.

"Captain, you certainly overdid it this time. Yassop glanced at him. He would have normally laughed, but they were all caught off guard by the attack. Shanks looked over at his crew than at the door. It was quiet before they heard small cries coming from the room. He couldn't stand to see you cry or hear in this case. He sighed and knocked, only to be told to go away. The crew left when Shanks gave them a look before walking in. He stopped her from packing and pulled her into his chest.

"Star, I didn't mean I want you to leave. I want you to stay; I just want to know how I can protect and help you." He said, rubbing her back with his only hand. She gripped his shirt and cried softly.

"As I said, it's too dangerous. I can't. You guys will end up hurt."

"We are pirates and strong ones at that. We won't end up hurt by them."

"If not by them, then by me." She whispered, and she pulled away.

"Can you please explain?" Shanks stroked her hair, leading her to sit on the bed. She took a deep breath and looked to the side.

"I was chased out of my town because I was considered a curse, a demon. Mainly because the evil witch couldn't stand my parents and put a curse on me that I would betray my land shortly. Since I left, I didn't even betray them, nor did I help them. Well, there were people out to kill me, the people who tried to blow us up. They had already killed my parents, and I ran since I was ten years old." She said softly.

"That doesn't seem that bad."

"No, it gets worst. My parents that died were my adoptive parents, and the evil witch that cursed me was my mother. Didn't see that one coming, did you? So once I started to run, the witch followed me and gave me all the power I needed to survive. Well, the government didn't like that. So the government was going after me, but they can't touch me because I can manipulate, form multiple forms of me, and well yeah. It's one big wild rollercoaster. And right now, I am not on good terms with my mother because I don't want to be like her at all." She said softly and looked away. Shanks blinked once, then twice, and then three times before grinning wildly, leaving Star confused.

"This sounds like it will be extremely fun."

"What are you crazy!?" And right as she said that she facepalmed. She felt stupid for the asking.

"Don't answer that I forgot you were Shanks, my captain. Nevermind." She said, shaking her head. He laughed slightly but got serious again.

"But seriously. I will risk my life for you along with this crew." Star looked at him and sighed softly.

"Exactly, I don't want you guys to do that."

"Well, you are stuck with us. Even if you leave, we are leaving with you." Star laughed, wiping her tears.

"You are such a dork Shanks." He grinned, and she laid her head on his shoulder.

"For you, I am a dork. I love you, Star." Star smiled as Shanks leaned in and kissed her. She blinked but slowly kissed back, hugging his neck.

"I love you too.." She said.

"Then let me help you. You aren't alone anymore and will never be." He whispered in her hair.

"O-Okay." She sighed contently, closing her eyes as he kissed her forehead, and at that moment, Yassop busted through the door, snapping a photo of the kiss to the forehead before walking out.

"There now they can't even try and deny in the future." He grinned. Star blushed heavily and threw multiple things at him.

"KNOCK BEFORE YOU COME IN, ASS~" She was cut off by Shanks' lips again and blushed.

"Leave it be. Let's cuddle!" He said, pulling her on top of him, and they just laid there curling into him.

"I love you so much, Shanks~."

"I love you more than anything in the world, Star."
