Silence: X Drake x Reader

You were walking down the street, and looking up at the sky deep in thought. It was a pretty boring day today and you didn't know what to do. You had heard some pirates had docked and were getting supplies. Normally you would stay in your home to avoid pirates since they were so loud and you were so quiet. You puffed your cheeks just as you ran into someone's chest. You let a squeak out as you fell backward but an arm reached out and wrapped around your waist.

You looked up with a blush, before seeing which pirate crew had docked. It was the Drake Pirates, and the person you ran into was X Drake the captain former Marine Rear Admiral. You quickly bowed your head embarrassed.

"I-I am so sorry, I didn't mean to run into you. I should have been paying attention." You said quietly, if it wasn't for Drake's sharp hearing he would have not understood you. He tilted your head up with a small smile.

"It's okay no need to beat yourself up over it." He said, a blush got darker and you slowly nodded your head.

"Okay... sorry again." You said before going to walk around him, but he wrapped an arm around your waist from the front to stop you. You quickly turned to look at him and he was grinning at you, you blinked confused.

"How about I buy you a drink?" He asked, you weren't a social person, so when Drake asked you you got light-headed. You were not used to socializing this much, you slowly backed up from him shaking your head quickly.

"N-No thanks, thank you though." He blinked frowning that you had rejected him, he assumed it was because he was a pirate. He watched as you tried to walk away again but this time he gently grasped your hand.

"I won't hurt you, no need to be scared of me. I just want to get to know you, you are really beautiful, and... hey are you okay?" You had started to fall forwards because the anxiety of communication with the male was too much. One of the nearby stand workers quickly came up to Drake.

"Sorry about her, it's not your promise. She has anxiety about talking with anyone for too long of a time, she is an extremely shy and quiet person." He explained as he helped Drake get a better grip on you. Drake ended up picking you up bridal style, and the worker hummed wondering if he should let Drake take you.

"Is there a hospital nearby? I just want to make sure she is okay." Drake said the worker nodded giving the pirate directions. He carried you to the hospital, he looked down at you. You were really cute, and Drake found you adorable he just wished you didn't faint on him. He took you into the hospital, and the nurses rushed to you taking you into the bedroom. It seemed they already knew what happened because they didn't ask any questions.

"Don't worry she will be okay, this is normal." A nurse said with a gentle smile, she was an elderly nurse.

"Okay thank you, can I sit in?" Drake asked, the nurse nodded and he pulled a chair by your bedside. He watched as you rested before he looked up at the ceiling, he didn't just want to leave you confused. He closed his eyes so he could rest a bit while you were out.

After a few hours, your eyes adjusted to the light in the bedroom, and you realized you were in a hospital room. You slowly sat up looking around, it seemed you had an anxiety attack and passed out again. You turned your head to see the male whom you were talking to earlier asleep in the chair.

"H-He stayed?" You whispered to yourself, as you looked at him with a heavy blush. You looked at your hands staying quiet, you didn't want to wake him. He was cute, and he looked harmless but you knew he was a pirate. You weren't scared of him, but talking just wasn't your thing, you hoped he didn't think you didn't like him or anything.

"You should smile, you are cute but I bet you have a beautiful smile." Your eyes widen as you whipped your head to see Drake. He smiled at you and he stood close to your bed, you quickly looked down.

"T-Thank you for bringing me here." You say softly, he sat on your bed.

"It's no problem, I'm just glad I caught you again." He said, you nodded your head and it fell silent. You could feel Drake looking at you, so you looked everywhere but him.

"(Y/N)." You say finally meeting his gaze with a blush.

"What?"

"My name is (Y/N)."

"A beautiful name too, I am X Drake but you can call me Drake." He said, you nodded your head. It went quiet again until the nurse came in saying you could leave. You got up with Drake's help even though you told him you were fine.

"I am fine i-it was just an anxiety attack." You try to reason but Drake didn't listen. You sighed softly, and Drake decided to try his luck again.

"So, about that drink?" You looked up at him and he gave you that smile, you felt began to relax. You gave a faint smile which made Drake's heart skip a beat.

"Sure. I guess I owe you a drink for being trouble, I will pay." You say, but Drake laughed which made you feel embarrassed.

"Well, 1. You weren't any trouble. 2. I am trying to take you on a date, so I can't let you pay for it." Your eyes widen at the second part. A date? You have never been on a date because you always ran off when a guy tried to get you to go out with them.

"D-Date?"

"Yes, a date. You never been on a date before, have you?" You shook your head, this made Drake hold you close to him and he pecked your head. You almost tripped at his action and your face got even redder.

"Careful." He said, you looked up at him and he was looking ahead at the bar he was taking you to as if him kissing your head was no big deal. You felt your heart rate increase, and Drake noticed how you were looking.

"Hey, there's no passing out on me again." He said you relaxed giving him an apologetic smile. He nodded his head taking you into the bar. You sat down, and he sat beside you. You ordered (f/d) and Drake ordered rum before focusing his attention on you. You pushed your (h/c) hair behind your ear, he noticed how your (e/c) eyes sparkled but he could tell that you were as innocent as you acted around him. He could tell just by looking into your eyes.

You both casually talked, you open up more to him the longer you stayed. By the time the bar closed, you were telling him everything and anything. The way you smiled brightened the night, and he was glad he managed to get you to trust him.

"Hey (Y/n)..." Drake began, you looked up at him as you both were walking around.

"Yes, Drake?"

"How about you join my crew?"

"W-What?" And there it went your shyness came back, he couldn't blame you though.

"I am just going, to be honest, so please don't faint." He said holding your hands, you blinked before nodding your head.

"I like you, a lot and I don't want to leave you behind. I want you by my side as I travel the seas." He said, your blush increased and you looked down.

"I will just hold you back. I can't fight, or read maps or anything like that." You whispered and he held your chin up.

"Hmm, can you cook?" You nodded your head and he grinned.

"Well there, we found something you can do. I will protect you." You bit your lip before looking into his eyes, he pulled you to his chest.

"Alright Drake, I will join your crew and be the cook." You say with a smile.

"You forgot to answer another question."

"What was it?"

"Will you remain by my side?" You nodded smiling and he gently leaned in before stopping.

"Well in that case can I seal it with a kiss?" You felt your heart increase faster as you let a shaky response out.

"Y-Yes you can." With that, he gently placed his lips onto yours. You closed your eyes slowly responding to the kiss. He held you close to his body and you wrapped your arms around his neck.

He parted from the kiss leaning his forehead against yours. You gave him another shy smile, and he stroked your waist. It was quiet but Drake didn't mind, and he pecked your lips.

"Let's go to the ship." He said, and you nodded as he gently grasped your hand. You laced your fingers with his.
