(Art: Me) tbh I can't decide if I like this or not. This is short though, I'm sorry.

Izuku gazed at the flushed florist hurriedly unlocking the door to his workplace, he couldn't help but smile a bit at the awkward, aloof, guy, still blushing from their humiliating interaction. Unfortunately he was going to have to ignore the cuteness for now, he was at work after all.

Wiping off the last of the display window's grime, he collected the windex and rag and ducked back in café where Ochako sat behind the counter with a razzing look on her cheery face.

"Aw, c'mon, what?" He quipped, rolling his eyes.

"Nothing,"

"C'mon, what's that face about?"

"Nothing just... YouWereTotallyFlirtingWithHim!!!" She practically jumped over the counter, exploding with excitement for her single best friend. Her sparkling honey eyes emphasizing the situation to her surprisingly nonchalant best friend.

"Yeah?"

"Are you kidding?! What?!! Your usually so, like, shy and bashful, you just got fully tackled and A S K E D F O R H I S N U M B E R?!!!!" Dramatically flopping her head back, her jaw dropped in pure shock seeing his subtlety. "I might actually kill you right now."

"Jeez, that seems excessive." Tugging his apron on, he joined her behind the counter, washing his hands of any leftover dirt from cleaning.

"You must be possessed."

"Pfft-" Playfully splashing her with sink-water, he threw a towel over his shoulder and began putting a few clean cups up. "No, I just, I dunno... he- I... he's just... he's just really, like, easy to be around."

"Awww, loverboyyy!!!" Childishly shaking his shoulder, Uraraka did her best, top notch, bestie teasery. Oddly, that was what got him. Putting a frantic finger to his lip, the frazzled, freckled boy urged her to hush up, bright red splashing his face with blush.

"My mom's in the next room over!" He whisper-yelled, glancing between her and the kitchen, soft noises echoing behind the thin door.

Much to his dismay, she instead burst out laughing.

"Dude! Really? 'Shut up Ochako, my mom is gonna know I have a crush on flower boy!'" Her voice lowered in complete mockery of the warning.

"Hey, that's not what I said!"

"Ha, I know, that was-" trailing off, she gave a mischievous nudge, like that of a sibling play-fighting. "Whatever, your secret's safe with me, dude."

Pulling on a hospitable face, she gave a last snicker before going off to tend to a customer. Izuku snorted softly, heading into the kitchen to see what he could help with.

Cut to Monday, which, overall, was pretty average. Well except for the fact that the florist's across the street had been closed since Friday night. Which was understandably worrying.

In all fairness, Izuku did take into account that people go on vacation but he was still owed a phone call or text. Granted, he only knew this boy for a days but something about the minimal communication saddened him.

Laying on the couch, he did consider instigating a conversation but had quickly proved to himself he did not have the guts he'd had the other day.

"Zu, hon, why are you just staring off at the ceiling?" Inko asked, looking up from her book.

Honestly, he didn't have an answer for that, the best answer he could give being a slight shrug. She was equally as perplexed but it seemed a good enough response for the moment.

Jeez, he seriously couldn't bring himself to send a simple hi? Frankly, at this point it was getting annoying. On a spurt of impulse, he pressed the call button, only realizing the action when the first ringtone sounded out.

Giving a nervous laugh, he hurried to his room for a bit of brief privacy. Just as he was slightly hoping for no answer, the ringing paused, the answer noise clicked on.

"Oh, uh, hi," that was uncomfortable. he was a smooth failure.

"Hello... how- how are you?" The voice on the other end sounded just as awkward as his, a great relief to his nerves.

A loooong pause hung between them, creating an air of silence to quiet for itself. A mass keeping words away like the plague...
