The Effects of War on Children
War is an adult matter that is extremely dangerous, and children often get caught in the crossfire. It is not unheard of that a group of children on a trip might be attacked by enemy airplanes, killed for trespassing on enemy territory, or killed because of their parent's roots or their given name. All this is unfair to the children, who might be any age and may or may not understand what's going on, but nowhere is truly safe. There was a lot of effort put into relocating children during the war, most times successful, but not without many sacrifices along the way. Following a war, any child would probably be disoriented and traumatized, also possibly orphaned.
