HANG
As I sprinted through the bustling hallways, my shoes clacking against the pavement, frustration boiled inside me like a simmering pot on the verge of boiling over. The tailored suit that I meticulously put on earlier now felt like a straitjacket, constraining my movements and adding to my sense of urgency.
I cursed under my breath as I remembered the collision with that girl just moments ago. She, of all people, had the audacity to demand restitution for her spilled coffee, oblivious to the fact that I was already late for a crucial trading meeting. My teeth clenched with anger at the mere memory. How dare she inconvenience me further, especially at a time like this?
In my mind, I rationalized her behavior as that of a subordinate who couldn't possibly comprehend the gravity of my situation. After all, in her world, I was just the boss, a figure to be ordered around as she pleased. It was a display of sheer ignorance that only fueled my irritation.
As I finally arrived at the meeting, my heart still racing from the mad dash through the city, I found myself confronted not only with the pressures of business but also with the unwelcome admonishments of an elderly figure seated at the head of the table.
He, too, seemed to take issue with my tardiness, but his disapproval carried a weight far greater than any scolding from a mere employee. His words cut through the air like a knife, criticizing my perceived irresponsibility and lack of discipline.
I couldn't help but scoff inwardly at the irony of it all. Here I was, being lectured on responsibility by a man whose very livelihood thrived on organized crime. The absurdity of the situation threatened to overwhelm me, but I maintained a facade of composure, knowing that any outward display of frustration would only serve to undermine my position further.
In the aftermath of the meeting, as I reflected on the events of the day, I couldn't shake the feeling that somehow, that girl's intrusion had set the tone for everything that followed. It was a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that her actions had inadvertently paved the way for the chastisement I received.
But I refused to accept defeat. If anything, the day's challenges only fueled my determination to prove myself, both in the eyes of my peers and in the face of adversity. And as for that girl? Well, she would soon learn that crossing paths with me came with consequences far beyond a simple spilled coffee.
I sighed while playing with the pen on my left hand, I was darting the target when someone knocked from my office before entering. "Mister Zuo Hang, there is a visitor who wants to see you..."
I rolled my eyes and signed her to let the visitor go here, I was shocked when I saw that demanding girl again, I just noticed that she was tall and sexy, but I am much taller. Nah, no one can beat my height, even Zhixin, I cleared my throat and putted the pen down, "Why are you here?", I asked.
"So, you're really one of the highest traders on this company, Mister Zuo Hang?" Her voice quoting my name really annoys the hell out of me, how dare her call me like I was just the level as her.
"I am a friend of the C. E. O, Miss Demanding, and just fucking tell me why you are here, and urgh why am I explaining myself to you again?!" I almost yelled in anger. "Why are you here?"
"I am here just to..." she gave me a teasing look before roaming around and touch anything he sees on my side table; oh, this girl is good at pissing me off. "Is this yours?", she pointed a Basketball MVP Trophy.
It was the Trophy we won as a TF Family team at Sumer Games 2026, with me, Junhao, Ji, Zhixin, Xinhao, Tianrun and Zhubao. "Don't you dare touch it..."
"Anyways I was here just to go piss the hell out if you, boss. Also, I got to go!" she ran outside as I did fucking hit the table with my own hands and hardly sat on my swivel, she's a pain on the ass.
