YUHAN

Zhubao and Hang went home drunk. Now, Ji is scolding and nagging his wife because of driving drunk than calling her husband, she just stood there while Hang passed out on the couch, straight faced, as if she was used to Ji scolding her.

"You drove home drunk, what something bad happened to you two?" Zhang Ji kept yelling, while crossing his arms, "Love, you could've just told me, so I went there to pick the both of you up, and why are you even at the bar?"

"I am sober, okay, just a little hot, I need a shower..." she said and took off her leather jacket, displaying her V-neck white tee. "Love, please take me to our room..."

Ji but his lower lip because of temper, he even massaged his forehead while closing his eyes, so I barged in the conversation, "Ji, maybe this isn't the time to talk to her. She is too drunk; she won't understand you..."

"I know..." he said and took her wife to bring her upstairs. "I will leave Hang to you, just change his clothes or give him a coffee so that he will be snapped back to his senses..."

"Yeah right..." I nodded and tapped Hang's shoulder. "Hey punk, come on to your room, you are so ugly when soaked up from beer."

"You ugly..." He smirked. "I can't stand, just bring me a coffee. I won't let the fuck you to change my clothes, you might rape me— ouch!"

Serves him right, I just punched his face. "Are you high as a kite, did you used drugs before going home, why would I rape you, I'm straight you bastard..."

"Who knows you we're gay and just hiding it?" His smirk says everything, he was just pissing the hell out of me, he knows I cannot break him a bone right now, because I will be the one who's become the blame when I did, he's drunk.

"Fuck you..." I mentally rolled my eyes and walked away to get a coffee. "That bastard is taking advantage; he is so jerk."

After making a coffee, I went there to give him. "Thank you, Yuhaaaaan~"

His voice is so irritating.

Is he really high?

Of this is just an effect of beer.

Who cares?

I gave him a poker face, "Cut it out, Hang. You're far from adorable, asshole."

"Did I ever said I look adorable?" He frowned. "I am handsome, and everyone cannot deny it nah! Even you, nah?"

"Just drink the coffee and go to your room. I need to make sure that the Dasha is safe before going to bed..." I spoke.

"What did really happen?" He suddenly asked, I gave him a look and glanced away at instant, because I know that he isn't on his sane right now, he is just drunk, "Tell me..."

"I don't know..." I said, keeping my sight away from him. "I don't know anything; I never knew what happened..."

"I know you, Yuhan, you glance away when you are lying..." He said with a tone of assurance, he knows me a lot. Obviously, he is my fucking best friend. "Now tell me, Yuhan, what exactly happened that day we left the country?"

"Mr. Li Fei wasn't with you, it was a fake one..." I started. "I don't even know why, but all I know is, he has clone. He is hiding something from us."

ZEYU

"Zhang Yong?" I called out repeatedly, but there was no response. We had been playing hide and seek since the others left, and it seemed like it was just the two of us left in the vast expanse of the Dasha. Despite my efforts, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease as I paced back and forth, scouring every corner in search of Yong. "Yong, where are you?"

Thats when the door opens, but in my surprise, it wasn't him. Instead, it was his parents; Ji and Zhubao. I immediately took them inside, then went straight to the kitchen to drop all the groceries off the table, and later on we will surely arrange it by ourselves.

"Zeyu, how was the day?" Ji asked.

"Yong and I are playing hide and seek, I was it and he hid somewhere but—"

"Great..." Zhubao smiled. "The others are at the restaurant, let us look for Yong first—"

"That's not good, Zhubao. I've been searching for Yong for the past three hours straight. I've combed through every inch of this place, from the attic closet to the basement, even up onto the roof, but there's no sign of him anywhere," I admitted with a heavy heart. "I'm sorry, Zhubao—Ji. I feel like I've failed as an uncle..."

"No, he should probably be just around the garden, he won't leave, he is the smartest, and he is just fooling you around..." Zhubao said and walked away. "Let's search for him..."

I nodded as Ji looked at me with disbelief, he tapped my shoulder and whispered, "Yong is not here, she knows it, but she kept denying, maybe my son is really missing, is he?"

"I've been thinking of that a while from now, I'm sorry, Ji." I sincerely apologized, I really don't know why Yong would have the guts to fool me around this far.

He left?

Or he was just really kidnapped?

"You don't have to blame yourself. This isn't on you," he reassured me, trying to offer some comfort in the midst of the chaos.

"Thank you," I uttered.

His voice, usually so plain and pure, took on a different tone, revealing a side of him that few had ever witnessed, a side that was undeniably unsettling. "I know who's responsible for this, but we can't let anyone else know," he continued with a calm determination. "Just stay calm. I'll handle it."

I nodded silently, my heart pounding with a mix of fear and determination as we made our way down the path to the garden. Zhubao's behavior was unsettling, confirming Ji's earlier suspicions. Despite her efforts to appear composed, I could sense her underlying panic. "Yong? It's Mommy. Please, come out now," she called out, her voice wavering slightly as she tried to mask her anxiety.

Losing sight of Yong was a terrifying experience, one that filled me with guilt and self-blame. It was difficult to comprehend how it happened, and the thought of being responsible weighed heavily on my mind. Yet, as I reflected on his name, there's a beat.

What if he really got Yong on his hands right now?

The realization hit me like a ton of bricks from the sky- the one responsible for Yong's disappearance was someone unimaginable, someone who shared his blood, someone I trusted, before. It was unfathomable, unbelievable. I was left speechless, grappling with a mix of emotions - anger, betrayal, and disbelief. My mind raced with thoughts and curses, but no words escaped my lips.

How could he do this?

"Yong..." Ji's voice was plain, he wasn't that scary anymore.

But still, that side is my fear.

The memory of that terrifying night flooded back with vivid clarity in my mind, a chilling reminder of the darkness that lurked beneath his surface. Ji, consumed by alcohol and rage, had unleashed a side of himself that was nothing short of terrifying. I remembered the fear that gripped me as he threatened violence, his words laced with a venomous intensity that sent shivers down my spine.

And then, the unthinkable happened. In his drunken frenzy, he had taken a life, plunging a blade into another man with a brutality that shook me to my core. But the horror didn't end there. As chaos ensued, someone had manipulated the situation, framing an innocent bystander to shoulder the blame for his actions.

The memory was etched into my mind like a scar, a reminder of the darkness that lurked within, hidden beneath a facade of normalcy. And now, faced with the disappearance of Yong, I couldn't help but wonder if history was repeating itself, if that same darkness was once again at play.
