13; I Promise

I kept my eyes closed while leaning down my swivel chair, I was so exhausted today because that trading mission I got was delayed, Zhubao might get angry after this. "You seem so exhausted, Yuhan. Do you want to eat?" It was Lei Min.

"My trading mission was delayed, that American scammed me." I sighed, "Good thing I didn't give him anything..."

"Thats good then, you didn't waste anything..." She said and putted a paper bag in front me, "I made lunch for us, we can eat here."

A very sweet smile plastered from my face, "Thank you, Lei Min, you know the right time when I am really hungry..."

"Of course, let's eat then?" she asked and began opening all the foods she bought, I took the folders and put it away as we began to eat. "Is it good?"

I nodded as I ate jiaozi, "I missed this food, I was used to Japanese foods these passed years because of business matters..."

She slightly nodded, "I can bring you any foods you want, just tell me what you want to eat..."

"Thanks, Lei Min..." I smiled and continued eating, and after eating she went to the Dasha because Zhubao was kind of calling for her.

I sighed, I'm bored, I want her to stay here but. I can't stop her for being trained by Zhubao. I know that I still have a girlfriend and she just betrayed me, but I think I am falling in love, with another woman.

I feel sorry for it but dammit, man. I can't stop myself loving such a wonderful woman like her, yes, Zhia is totally different, but she, Lei is more than I expected. She is soft hearted, and she always put others before even putting herself, just like how she saved Junhao from near death because she heard that Junhao had a woman and a baby waiting for him at home.

I like her the way she is, I like the way she acts, she sings. I like everything about her, maybe falling in love for the third time wouldn't be that bad. I was hurt two times, and maybe I can risk for love again, for her, maybe take the risk or lose the chance.

Someone knocked my door as Zuo Hang entered with a frown, "Don't ask me why I'm here..." He sighed and sat infront me.

"Eh, then what happened if I can't ask you that thing?" I made a face, I don't get this guy sometimes, he is a total dumb about some things he isn't good at. "Hey, bastard, tell me."

"Deng Jiaxin was teasing me with that girl I met downstairs like urghh, she is a total pain in the ass, she even talked about my wife, her death..." He said. "I hate it, I hate it when someone I didn't even know talks about her, or even my son!"

"Calm down, Hang. Maybe she doesn't know—"

"She doesn't really know what we have been through, sucks to be her." he rolled his eyes.

"Wait, am I hearing it right, love?" I asked her while making a face, she just told me that Mei was alive, she didn't really die, everything was a lie. "So where is she now, why did she leave her son—"

"I don't know, babe, hindi ko alam, nalilito na ako sa nangyayari, hindi ko din alam na nagawa tayong traydorin ng sarili ko'ng kadugo, hindi ko alam kung bakit ganito ang nangyayari saatin..." she sighed.

"Gosh, love. Not this time—" she cried, so I hugged her and wrapped her with my arms. "Love, don't worry, everything's going to be alright..."

"You think so, how many times do we have to lose a friend until we get the real peace?" She asked while crying on my chest. "Do they think that I am really that hard hearted?"

"Love, don't say that we will not lose anyone, anymore. I will promise you to protect everyone, they are our family..." I rubbed her back and planted kisses on her head.

After a minute, she drank water and sat down the bed. "I can't really imagine Mei joining them..." 

"What about tell Zuo Hang?" I asked. "Maybe he will understand—"

"Like never, love, Hang is whipped, he will do anything just to take her back, and who knows if something happens to him?" She made a face. "Do not dare to tell him..."

"I will never..." I sighed, "I can't imagine his pain, losing his love was totally hurts, specially, it was his wife. And if I was him, oh come on, I can't live without you, too..."

"Tsk..." I saw her rolled her eyes. "Why would you lose me—"

"Because you always go through dangerous ways, like how would you survive if a wrong move came?" I asked, I am really serious right now. "I will never love anyone else— owwww! Why did you slap me?!"

"You are overreacting, love. Of course I won't die just like that, I know my limits, I know that my family is at home waiting for me to arrive, I will never risk my life without thinking..." She actually said it, that she always wanted to get home safe for me— for Yong.

I smiled as I finally caressed her hand, "I love you so much, love. I never felt so much happier than I am with you..."

"You're corny, love..." She laughed. "But yeah, I love you too, love. I feel the same way, I am always happy with you, and I will be forever happy with you..."

I wrapped my arms on her waist and kissed her cheek. I missed doing this, I buried my face on her neck and spoke. "Never leave me behind, babe. Please always keep yourself safe, don't make me worry sick, I want you to always get home unscratched..."

"I promise not to make you worry, I will promise to always get home. To you both, my treasures..." She cupped my face and gave a kiss.
