"I'll handle these," Nate said, focusing on the goons coming in from his side of the train.

"Let me handle the others!" Lidia yelled. She took a deep breath and blew a multitude of bubbles at them.

"Ha!" One of the men yelled. "What are you aiming for? Blinding us with a bunch of bubbles?"

Lidia winked. "No, but that wouldn't be half bad!"

"Hey, what's the big idea? Move it!" the ones in the back yelled as the front row came to a stop.

I gasped as they dropped to the floor.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Ugh, it has to be a sleeping spell!" one of the men yelled. His hands crackled as twin flame pillars shot into the air.

"Hey, that's dangerous!" Huo yelled.

"Uh, I don't think that they care," I said, giving a strange look. For a smarty pants, he could be quite dumb.

He gritted his teeth.

"Relax, I got this!" Lidia said as she continued to hit multiple thieves with her bubbles.

The flame mage chuckled and formed a spiral out of the flames. Could I do that one day too?

Lidia gasped as her bubbles failed to work on him and the others he had defended.

"You really thought that your little trick would take us down, girlie?" the flame man asked, laughing obnoxiously. I so wanted to get up close and punch him in the face to shut him up.

Au grumbled. "I could try to blow out the flames, but if I miscalculate, I could set this entire cart on fire."

If only my magic were stronger, then that wouldn't even have been an issue.

"Now, give us all your belongings!" the fire mage yelled, rushing at Lidia.

"We have none!" Lidia said, holding her hands forward. "Aqua Scutum!" A spherical barrier formed around her. Vapor filled the train as the water exploded.

"Lidia!" Huo yelled, running ahead.

I ran after him.

"Huo, Cart!" Aurelius yelled as he created a light gust to blow away the mist around us. We gasped as Lidia defended against the man's flames with a sword covered in water.

"I'm done running away! All that I did in the marsh was run!" Lidia shouted, glaring at the man.

"Lidia, don't try to play hero!" Huo snapped.

She gritted her teeth as she spun her sword around, keeping the flames from burning her.

Woah. Not only was she pretty, but a good fighter too!

"This style, is she copying Lady Rebecca?" Huo mumbled to himself. "But, we only saw her fight briefly. How could she replicate it to this extent?"

I laughed. "I think she's the real genius here."
